Vad är en kompetensdag?

Ca. 6 gånger om året har Omegapoint Göteborg kompetensdagar!

En "kompetensdag" är egentligen en halvdag med start vid lunch den andra fredagen på månaden där vi lär ut och lär oss av varandra. Dessa halvdagar räknas in i de 10 dagars kompetensutveckling alla anställda på Omegapoint har. Kompetensdagen avrundas såklart med AW.

Hur?

Att hålla ett pass på en kompetensdag kan se ut på olika vis. Man kan i klassisk anda hålla en föreläsning om ett ämne som intresserar en. Det kan vara något tekniskt, icke-tekniskt. Något man lärt sig på sitt uppdrag eller vill dela med sig av från livet utanför Omegapoint.

Exempel på format:

• Föreläsning i valfri längd
• Praktisk workshop (lär oss något tillsammans. Kanske att hacka eller lära oss ett nytt språk)
• Diskussion kring en spännande frågeställning man själv vill veta mer om, eller själv råkar vara kunnig på
• Hålla en bokcirkel eller studiecirkel i någon annan form
  
• Egen idé

Die .NET UserGroup Karlsruhe hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, interessierte Teilnehmer:innen mit Vorträgen und Workshops zu allen Themen rund um die Softwareentwicklung und das Projektmanagement zu versorgen.

Wir sind eine Gruppe von (nicht nur) Entwickler:innen die sich vor allem mit .NET beschäftigen. Wir treffen uns einmal im Monat und bearbeiten verschiedene Themen aus diesem Umfeld. Neben den .NET Themen stehen Versionskontrollsysteme, allgemeine Programmiertechniken und Coding-Dojos auf dem Programm.

Die .NET User Group Karlsruhe ist kein eingetragener Verein, sondern eine 'freie' Benutzergruppe. Aus diesem Grund gibt es auch keine Mitgliedsbeiträge oder ähnliches. Spenden werden ausschließlich für Zwecke der User Group verwendet.

Springfield Devs is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and supporting developers, agencies, and professionals in the Greater Springfield, MO area.

One of the main ways we do that is through a monthly event we call Dev Night. These events consist of free food, networking, and one or more presentations on a topic related to software development. These presentations can range from lightning talks to discussion panels to more standard one-hour sessions.

Our typical audience ranges anywhere from industry veterans with decades of experience, to junior/mid-level developers early in their careers, to students who attend some of the local colleges/universities.

JHBMSDUG is the Johannesburg Microsoft Developer User Group which have an in-person the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

Usually, the call starts with an update into what happened in the last 6 weeks in the community, such as new DSC Resource modules, or event or blog posts that we feel are relevant, then followed by one or two presentation.

Those presentations can be a quick demo of a workflow, showing what you can do with a DSC Resource module, Guest Configuration policies or anything related to PowerShell DSC: you name it!

This group meets in person only and does not have a digital footprint and no capability for remote presentations.

The Atlanta .NET User Group is an independent user group formed by developers for developers. The group is the result of combining the Atlanta ASP.NET and Atlanta VB User Groups.

We are a founding member of INETA.

Cloud computing is already a multi-billion dollar business for Microsoft, and yet Azure is just now hitting its stride. Perhaps you're a long-time MS stack developer wondering "where do I go from here?" Maybe you're a seasoned dev manager or director curious how cloud in general and Azure in particular might fit into your next project. If you're looking for the future of Microsoft on the server and in the enterprise... you've found it! This group caters to all things Microsoft Azure and cloud computing. We'll explore a range of topics in three key areas (in likely order of decreasing frequency):

1. Nuts-and-bolts Azure dev tools, APIs, features, etc... "how to accomplish in Azure"

2. Higher-level topics on cloud computing patterns, architectural best practices, data access strategies, etc. with a focus on applying these in the Microsoft Azure environment

3. Business-oriented topics like cloud economic and pricing models, cloud migration strategies, legal and compliance implications of the cloud, etc.

Ultimately our topic list is determined by the interests of the group members. We meet monthly and vary meeting formats as needed; mostly a 30 minute meet-and-greet followed by a 60-90 minute presentation, but some months we'll do two smaller presentations, we'll even try multiple 15 minute lightning talks if we have sufficient interest. We'll keep things relatively informal... as long as the sessions are relevant and engaging for the audience, that's what matters most. Hope you'll come out and join us!

We allow all data platform topics from SQL on premises to the newest Fabric SQL Database as well as other data topics. If you work in data and think your topic would be of interest to other data professionals we welcome you!

We meet the third Friday of every month from 12pm to 1pm EST. Currently we are meeting remotely on Teams.

Vad är Kompetensdagen?

Kompetensdagen är en intern kompetenskonferens som anordnas av Omegapoint Academy åtta gånger per år. Vem som helst kan hålla ett pass och alla anställda är välkomna som deltagare.

Ämnena som tas upp på de olika passen ska vara relevanta för vår kompetensutveckling och/eller bidra till att vi utvecklas som konsulter, kollegor eller människor - i vid bemärkelse.

Normalt hålls Kompetensdagen mellan klockan 13.00 och 17.00 den andra arbetsbara fredagen varje månad, med uppehåll under sommaren (juli och augusti) samt de månader då den stora kompetenskonferenserna OpKoKo och LoKoKo anordnas. Lunch ingår för alla som anmäler att de vill ha det och den serveras cirka klockan 12.00. 

We are a group dedicated to providing our community with education on SQL data technologies. Any topic related to data, AI, and SQL query languages is welcome.

Our group normally meets Thursday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM PST.
