Wie halten wir unser Versprechen? Unsere Events beinhalten jeweils drei richtig informative, unterhaltsame und ehrliche Vorträge. Der Clue – jede*r Speaker*in hat genau 12 Minuten um ihre oder seine **Geschichte zu erzählen und alle wichtigen Inhalte wiederzugeben. Die Zeit läuft... Keine Sekunde länger! Danach ist das Publikum am Zug. Mit den Fragen und steigen wir tiefer ins Thema ein! Und, wie soll es auch anders sein? Auch Ihr habt 12 Minuten in der Fragerunde (Q&A). Nun folgen 12 Minuten Networking, damit ihr noch persönlich und direkt anknüpfen oder Euch einfach erfrischen könnt und bereit seid für den nächsten Vortrag.

The AWS DMV and Cleveland User Groups are soliciting speakers for our monthly events. We have a unique situation in that Cleveland is virtual and DMV is done IN PERSON at the AWS HQ2 offices. Past speakers have told us that they love being able to do the Cleveland talk first to get some feedback before doing their talk in person in DC. That is why we have combined this CFP. 

AWS User Groups are a place for AWS practitioners to increase their skills and network with their peers. Groups are run by volunteers and do not generate a profit. 

These User Groups are a great venue for new speakers as the community is interested in great content, not professional speakers. If you've done an interesting project on AWS or have an area of speciality, please submit your talk. 

PLEASE NOTE that you will need to get yourself to HQ2 for the in-person talk and that a lot of planning and sometimes money has gone into these events. If you commit to a date, we need you to show up and be prepared. 

The DMV User Group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month. The CLE User Group generally meets the 1st Thursday of the month, but has more flexibility since it's virtual. Dates are not available in months with industry conflicts (Jan = re:Invent re:Cap, June = AWS Summits & Midwest Community Day, Oct = DMV Community Day, Nov-Dec = re:Invent)

What we're about

The Oxford Microsoft Data Platform Group is a community for anyone interested in Microsoft data and analytics products and services. We meet to share information, best practices, updates, and our experiences working with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, Azure analytics platform services, SQL Server and Azure PaaS databases. We are part of the wider Azure Data Community.

We have a mix of online and hybrid meetings. Currently, meetings are online only, but we should be resuming hybrid meetings, in person in Oxford, in 2025.

Code of conduct

If you participate in Stockholm SQL, you must follow this simple code of conduct.

Be nice to people. This includes the speaker, the host/moderator and of course all the other attendees. Respect other people’s right to their own space. Don’t get in peoples face.

Understand that you can not and may not be the judge of anyone else’s feelings. If you do something that offends someone, even when that is not the purpose, don’t argue. Just back down. You may or may not understand what was going on, but Stockholm SQL is not meant for you to test limits.

See, that wasn’t so hard, was it? If you feel anyone is not respecting this very simple Code of Conduct, contact one of the organisers (Magnus and Daniel) – we want to keep SQL Friday clean from abuse.

Data Platform WIT is the Virtual Women in Technolgy Group for the Data Platform community.

PyLadies Dublin are monthly meetups hosted in-person or remotely (possibly hybrid in the future).

These meetups are free, and are open to everyone of all levels.

The Minnesota SQL Server User Group (PASSMN) is organized to bring professionals of all career levels that work with Microsoft's Data Platform, together to learn and network with others. There is no charge to attend and you are encouraged to bring your co-workers.

Who are we?

The Datamonster.IO Microsoft Data Platform Usergroup Rheinland belongs to Datamosters.io.  We are a face-to-face community with the aim of exchanging experiences about Microsoft Data Platform products and making connections with like-minded individuals. Our focus is on Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and Data Platform Services on Azure.

Datamosters.io is an official chapter of Datamosters.io. The association has no commercial background and is supported by voluntary work and sponsors. We meet monthly, usually 12 times a year, alternating on the first or second Thursday of each month.

We are looking for? 

We're seeking dynamic speakers knowledgeable in Microsoft data technologies, particularly in areas such administration (DBA), development (DEV-OPS), business intelligence (BI), data analytics, big data and NoSQL, cloud (Azure) and  as well as  Fabric. We're also open to other session suggestions that align with our theme.

When?

Usually first or second Thursday of each month, from around 6pm to 9pm.

Where? 

It depends, mainly in Königswinter, may be around Bonn / Cologne.

Königswinter has very good connections to public transport. From the Königswinter ferry stop on line 66, it is only a 5-minute walk to the office of oh22information services GmbH.

The parking spaces directly at the company are limited, but the Drachenfelsbahn car park can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot.
