Dale Hobbie

Dale Hobbie

Dale Hobbie is a multi-patented inventor, mission-critical systems architect, and the founder of Quantum HPC Infrastructure, LLC. With more than 35 years of experience in computational analytics and engineering, he has dedicated his career to solving complex challenges in Power, cooling, and compute reliability. His work focuses on autonomous class-compute infrastructure designed to operate independently while supporting AI, HPC, and quantum workloads. He brings a disciplined and methodical approach to engineering, shaped by decades of hands-on experience in environments where continuity and stability are essential.

Known professionally as D. James Hobbie, he is the inventor of the Cleanewable Hybrid platform, protected under U.S. Patents 11,233,405 B1 and 12,184,075 B1, with multiple continuation-in-part applications and registered trademarks. These innovations extend to carbon-integrated thermals, RTF materials processes, modular enclosure systems, and distributed micro-utility architectures. Hobbie developed this platform to integrate onsite multi-source power generation, advanced thermal loop control, and autonomous operational logic into a unified, repeatable system. His patented work provides a licensable technical foundation intended to support resilient compute environments under variable and demanding conditions.

James Hobbie is the architect of the Operation Quantum Marathon Corridor, a multi-state autonomous compute spine extending approximately 1,500 miles. This corridor was engineered to support federal, commercial, defense, and scientific computing requirements through onsite generation aggregators up to 500 MW+ and interoperable micro-utility frameworks. Hobbie designed the corridor to integrate fiber adjacency, sovereign routing logic, and unified mission continuity architecture across independent regions. The initiative responds to the limitations of grid-dependent infrastructure while maintaining scalability for future compute needs.

As the founder and managing director of Quantum HPC Infrastructure, LLC, Dale James Hobbie leads systems-level engineering governance, multidisciplinary project oversight, and corridor-scale development strategy. Hobbie oversees patent strategy, site modeling, infrastructure adjacency planning, and high-density thermal integration. Under his direction, the organization operates through a Master Project Management Office structure developed in financial partnership with Peter Georgiopoulos and supported by operations advisor Leo Vrondissis. This structure integrates expertise across energy systems, carbon integration, digital infrastructure, and mission-critical engineering while maintaining consistent execution standards.

Before founding QHPC, Hobbie spent over three decades as an independent consultant addressing high-risk, mission-critical reliability challenges across commercial, industrial, government, and defense-aligned environments. He became known as the engineer whom organizations relied upon when systems failed in ways others could not diagnose. His work included stabilizing mission-critical environments, identifying hidden reliability and team-based faults, redesigning obsolete systems, and implementing advanced Power-to-the-Nth pathways. These experiences directly shaped the autonomous class architectures he later codified into patent form.

Dale Hobbie continues to guide the expansion of autonomous-class infrastructure across the United States and allied regions. His engineering philosophy emphasizes systems intuition, long-range thinking, and a clear understanding of interconnected electrical, thermal, mechanical, and digital domains. Through ongoing work in sovereign compute strategy, carbon-integrated thermals, and next-generation enclosure systems, he remains focused on building infrastructure that operates independently and supports uninterrupted computing in future scenarios. He maintains a steady commitment to designing systems and teams that endure, adapt, and remain effective over time.

Duke Valentour

Duke Valentour

Duke Valentour works as an Industrial and Systems Engineer at Ball Aerospace, a division of BAE Systems in Boulder, Colorado. Ball Aerospace, now known as Space & Mission Systems, develops technology and solutions for space missions, supporting national security, intelligence, and civilian efforts.

Duke holds a Commercial Pilot License and is a Certified Flight Instructor. His interest in aviation was sparked early by his grandfather, who significantly encouraged his passion for flying.

In his engineering role, Duke analyzes workflow processes within assembly and fabrication operations to identify cycle times and improve efficiency. He leads projects that enhance procedures across Research and Development, Production, and Depot Programs for Optical Systems. His responsibilities include performing root cause analyses to identify and address production challenges. He works closely with production technicians to implement process and product improvements.

Duke began his career at Ball Aerospace as an intern in 2020 and later earned a full-time position. In 2024, he was promoted to his current role. That same year, Ball Aerospace was acquired by BAE Systems and incorporated into the Space & Mission Systems division.

Jonathan Wayne Valentour’s passion for aviation developed during childhood visits to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force near Dayton, Ohio, with his grandfather, Colonel Wayne Basset. These visits deepened his interest in military aviation. While interning at Ball Aerospace in 2021, Jonathan passed his private pilot check ride and earned his instrument rating by late 2023.

In early 2024, Jonathan earned his commercial pilot license and flight instructor certification. He began working as a tow pilot and flight instructor at Mile High Gliding in Boulder.

Duke holds endorsements for complex airplanes, high-performance aircraft, tailwheel operations, and glider towing. He has logged roughly 800 flight hours, including 250 in tailwheel aircraft and 10 in complex airplanes. His experience includes flight instruction at Journeys Aviation and glider towing at Mile High Gliding, where he provides flight and ground instruction.

Jonathan attended Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio, where he played baseball and football. His football team qualified for the state playoffs during his sophomore, junior, and senior years. In 2017, he enrolled at Ohio State University in Columbus and earned a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Systems Engineering. While at OSU, Jonathan served as Business Development Lead for the Buckeye Space Launch Initiative from 2020 to 2021.

Duke worked at the Ball Packaging facility during college, where he first became familiar with Ball Aerospace. His persistence helped him secure an internship with the company, laying the foundation for his aerospace engineering career.

Jonathan Wayne Valentour volunteers with the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Young Eagles program, offering free introductory flights to youth aged 8 to 17 to inspire interest in aviation. Jonathan conducts pre-flight briefings, pilots flights, and leads post-flight question sessions. This volunteer work reflects his dedication to sharing his passion for flying, inspired by his grandfather and father.

Outside of his professional and aviation pursuits, Duke enjoys hiking and skiing. He values the physical challenge and connection to nature that these activities provide. His appreciation for the outdoors complements his passion for flying, giving him a unique perspective on the landscapes he explores from the ground and the air.

I sit right at the messy intersection of hard science and market strategy. As a Technology Transfer Officer at UM6P, my day job is helping inventions survive the 'Valley of Death'—that difficult gap between a lab discovery and a shelf-ready product.

Right now, I’m focused on one thing: using AI to streamline the innovation process. I’m currently building workflows that help researchers and startups use Google's multimodal models to validate inventions, analyze prior art, and simulate complex systems before they ever hit the market.

I made a promise to support and defend the United States Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I take that VERY seriously, and will fight for your right to hate me. I will not, however, tolerate acts of violence directed at individuals for simply taking up space, acts of coercion through threats of violence, or any attempt at using violence as a way to maintain power.
