Dr. Jes L. Thompson (MS and PhD University of Utah, BS Northern Michigan University) is the inaugural Assistant Vice President for Sustainability at Northern Michigan University and the Director of the Sustainability Hub for Innovation and the Environment (SHINE). She previously served as a full professor in the College of Business. She is also a trained facilitator and mediator and holds graduate certificates in Adaptive Management of Environmental Systems (University of Utah) and Sustainable Business Strategy (Harvard University). Her research is focused on organizational communication about complex ecological issues, such as climate change, resilience and adaptation. Yasmin Mansour is a passionate and accomplished sustainability professional with over 15 years of experience in sustainable facilities management and operations. As Sustainability Director at The American University in Cairo (AUC), she leads the Office of Sustainability, advancing institutional efforts to address critical environmental challenges, including climate change, energy efficiency, water conservation, resource management, pollution, and waste reduction.

Yasmin has played a key role in embedding sustainability into AUC’s operations and strategy, driving data-informed decision-making and cross-campus collaboration. She has extensive experience in developing technical and strategic reports, including carbon footprint assessments, ESG disclosures, and sustainability reports aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). John Pumilio, LEED Green Associate, Certified Energy Manager, and Certified Health Coach is the associate provost for sustainability at Colgate University. Since 2009, John has led Colgate’s sustainability program and effort to achieve carbon neutrality by 2019. Over that time, the university has reduced its campus carbon footprint by around 70 percent and in 2019 became the first college or university in New York State to achieve carbon neutrality. Successes to date include a reduction in energy, water and paper while increasing renewable energy and recycling. In 2016, John helped to co-found the Hamilton Climate Action Group and has been helping to coordinate and lead efforts for the Village and Town of Hamilton (NY) to achieve NYS DEC Climate Smart Communities certification, which both received in 2020. Before returning home to Central New York, John was a field biologist on the Florida Panther Recovery Project in the Everglades, guided tours in the Galápagos Islands (Ecuador) and Machu Picchu (Peru), led wildlife safaris in East Africa, guided mountain hiking excursions throughout Alaska and British Columbia, completed breeding bird surveys on Hog Island, Maine, and conducted field research in the West Indies (Jamaica). Mi chiamo Elena Cossu e sono nata a Cagliari nel 1986.
Sin da giovane ho nutrito un forte interesse per le materie scientifiche e ambientali, che mi ha portata a scegliere il percorso di Ingegneria per l’Ambiente e il Territorio. Ho conseguito la laurea triennale presso l’Università degli Studi di Cagliari e la laurea specialistica presso il Politecnico di Torino.

Il trasferimento a Torino ha rappresentato un punto di svolta, offrendomi numerose opportunità internazionali sia all’interno del Politecnico sia presso università estere. Ho partecipato a un programma presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria di Minas Gerais, in Brasile, seguendo un corso sui biocombustibili realizzato nell’ambito di un accordo tra la Regione Piemonte e lo Stato di Minas Gerais. Successivamente ho svolto un periodo di studio presso la TU Delft, dove ho sviluppato la mia tesi sull’addolcimento dell’acqua.

La mia carriera professionale è iniziata nell’ambito Ambiente, Salute e Sicurezza (EHS/RSPP) fino al 2018, quando ho ampliato le mie competenze al mondo della qualità, prima in un contesto produttivo e successivamente—come avviene tuttora—nel settore Sales. Sia in ambito EHS sia nel mondo della qualità ho lavorato quotidianamente con i sistemi di gestione, diventati la lente attraverso cui leggere processi, responsabilità e miglioramento continuo. Originaire de Normandie, je suis arrivé dans le Nord il y a 15ans maintenant.
J'ai 33 ans - bientôt marié - sans enfant. On me décrit souvent comme quelqu'un de souriant, positif et dans l'action (et "poil à gratter" par mes ex patrons ;) ).

De formation plutôt commerciale, en alternance, jusqu'au BAC+3, j'ai très vite basculé dans la vente de service, en BtoB.
Jusqu'à me retrouver dans l'IT un peu par hasard, en 2018 en commençant par une ESN dans la data (Micropole) au rôle de commerce pendant 6 mois puis en tant que directeur d'agence ensuite durant 1an et demi. (jusqu'à 46 personnes).

Ensuite, début 2021, j'ai rejoins une ESN plus "digitale" (Ineat), en tant que directeur de BU Retail (jusqu'à 65 personnes). ESN rachetée par un grand groupe (ASTEK) avant mon arrivée.
J'ai travaillé 2 ans là-bas, jusqu'à être en désaccord total avec les valeurs et les pratiques.

C'est comme ça que j'en suis arrivé à cofonder ZATSIT, ESN engagée, depuis Février 2023.
Une ESN tech, qui se veut avant tout "positive & impactante", au sens large, pour l'ensemble de ses parties prenantes.
Entreprise à mission dès la création, Bcorp pending pour les 3ans, nous sommes hyper investis à créer un modèle d'entreprise plus vertueux pour le monde d'aujourd'hui et de demain.
En créant Zatsit, j'ai souhaité casser les codes, secouer un peu les vieilles pratiques du métier et remettre un sens à ce modèle d'ESN (voir même de l'entreprise tout court)

J'ai deux convictions profondes :
. " le modèle d'entreprise purement capitaliste n'est pas adapté aux enjeux d'aujourd'hui (et de demain), il peut exister un modèle hybride entre capitalisme et économie responsable"
. " nous sommes des semeurs de graines ! A notre échelle, nous évangélisons, nous diffusons, nous faisons ! Pour contribuer à un monde meilleur (environnementalement et sociétalement parlant) "

Mon rôle aujourd'hui et d'être plus vertueux pour notre écosystème, engagé auprès de nos collaborateurs et de nos parties prenantes, de faire grandir notre domaine/notre métier vers un modèle plus vertueux, et de démystifier les non-dits.

Aradhana is an Associate at RMI's Carbon-Free transportation team where she supports data-driven decision-making for electrifying municipal and transit fleets, charging infrastructure deployment strategies, rate design to reduce EV charging costs, and e-mobility policy development. With a background in quantitative analysis and research in environmental engineering, including climate change mitigation and life cycle assessment, she specializes in techno-economic analysis and stakeholder engagement techniques to find solutions to pressing vehicle electrification problems. Aradhana has also previously studied the energy use and emissions of autonomous delivery vehicles at Carnegie Mellon University, and assessed energy storage solutions and microgrids with the India Energy Storage Alliance.
