Annette Finsterbusch is a dedicated business leader, startup veteran, an investor in innovation. She has extensive experience as an operating executive and as a venture capitalist, focusing on early-stage investments in technology companies. Ms. Finsterbusch is currently the President and CEO of EnPower, Inc., a Phoenix-based lithium-ion battery company focused on the electrification of vehicles.

Before joining EnPower, Ms. Finsterbusch was the Founder and Senior Director of Applied Ventures, the strategic investing arm of Applied Materials, where she led investments in solid-state lighting, energy storage, fuel cells, and lithography. She also served as CEO of MindShadow, Inc., a spin-out from DaimlerChrysler’s Research and Technology Center, focused on automotive infotainment systems, and Ketra, Inc., an early-stage company that developed high quality LED lighting products with IOT capabilities. Having been both investor and fundraiser, Ms. Finsterbusch has a unique perspective on how to build strong, lean, successful startups.

Ms. Finsterbusch has extensive experience on both corporate and non-profit boards. She currently serves as Chair of the SBIR/STTR Subcommittee, Directorate for Engineering Advisory Committee of the National Science Foundation. Ms. Finsterbusch is both a fellow and mentor in the prestigious International Society of Kauffman Fellows, where she was awarded the first Jeffrey Timmons Memorial Award for service.

Rob Schamberg has served as a CASEL senior district advisor since 2011, supported several CASEL collaborating districts. Rob is the primary author of Districtwide SEL Essentials for Superintendents published by CASEL and AASA. Rob is the developer and facilitator of the CASEL SEL Strategic Planning Institute, in which district teams develop and implement sustainable SEL for all K-12 students, staff and community. He has authored several CASEL case studies of SEL implementation and partnerships. Prior to CASEL Rob was a public school educator, including roles as a teacher, principal, & superintendent.

Rob is the founder and chair of Reno Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO), providing leadership development and outdoor skills development to youth from marginalized community through backpacking, rafting and other outdoor adventures. Rob has been leading outdoor trips with integrated SEL for over 48 years. He believes that outdoor environments are the finest place to gain SEL skills.

Sardar Ateeq studied MSc, and PhD in hydraulic and water resources engineering [Civil Engineering] and obtained a PhD with the highest distinction from the Technical University of Munich, Germany for automizing hydrodynamic and morphodynamic simulations which significantly reduces the projects cost and enhances the preciseness of engineering designs and numerical calculations. He is also actively involved in developing and improving hydrodynamic and morphodynamic simulation tools according to project requirements. Jake Beley is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He develops virtualization and emulation environments to help research cyber-physical system vulnerabilities and mitigations. He currently leads the technical team for the Clean Energy Cybersecurity Accelerator (CECA).
