Shelly Hattan brings over 30 years of experience in the water industry, including 18.5 years with the Tarrant Regional Water District. She holds both a BS and MS from the University of Texas at Arlington, is a licensed Professional Engineer, and a Certified Construction Manager.

For the past 15 years, Shelly has been a key leader on the Integrated Pipeline Project (IPL), overseeing the installation of 92 miles of 108- and 84-inch pipeline, over 100 tunnels, as well as the completion of 150 MGD, 210 MGD and 277 MGD pump stations. Born November 8, 2002, in Rochester, New York, Ryan Gustin has always been driven by a passion for engineering, leadership, and service. Currently studying Civil Engineering at Penn State, Ryan Gustin Penn State has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in his academic and extracurricular pursuits.

His educational journey began in Webster, NY, at Plank Road North Elementary, where he first explored his interests in sports and technology. He delved into the world of Lego robotics, sparking an early passion for engineering that would set the stage for his future endeavors.

He continued his academic career at McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, embracing the school’s mission to become a "man for others." Here, he led the robotics team, overseeing the design and construction of a climbing mechanism that competed successfully and earned the "Excellence in Engineering" award. This achievement highlighted his ability to blend innovative thinking with practical skills.

He also gained expertise in operating the CNC mill at high school, transforming digital designs into physical components. His proficiency with CAD software allowed him to work effectively with materials such as aluminum and steel, preparing him for complex engineering challenges.

Beyond his technical and academic achievements, he was involved in various extracurricular activities. He participated in the school’s stage crew, which developed his project management and teamwork skills, essential for his later professional endeavors. He also remained active in sports and nurtured his musical talents by playing the violin.

I'm a software engineer, entrepreneur, and co-founder on a mission to leave the world a little better than I found it. With a couple of decades of experience building software and teams, I’m currently the CTO at Aknostic and a Tech Lead in the CNCF Green Reviews working group.

In the early days, I co-authored several O’Reilly books on AWS and built an IoT platform for agricultural growers. Now, my focus is on figuring out how we can leverage technology to make the world more sustainable.

A biologist with a huge passion for Korean language and culture since 2011.

Almost 11 years ago I stumbled upon a k-pop video and since then I have:
- learnt Korean language by myself | currently a TOPIK 4 (B2) holder approved by King Sejong Institute in Zagreb
- visited Korea twice | a personal trip in 2015. and a work trip in 2018.
- held elementary Korean language classes for a year in Zagreb Korean school
- worked as a general manager of a Korean hostel and a tour operator for Korean market in a Croatian DMC company (Uniline)
- worked as a tour leader for Croatian Olympic Committee at 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic games
- worked as a simultaneous translator in various occasions, but most recently for King Sejong Institute in University of Rijeka (UNIRI) which resulted in its opening in September
- currently on a Korean Embassy project for SNS supporters of Korea
