Born in Kindu the 9/9/1999, Gilbert Bemwiz discovered computing at age 14 through mobile video games. Despite having an aptitude for mathematics, he chose the Computer Commerce program out of pure passion for technology.

At 16, his interest in tech led him to experiment - sometimes to the point of "crashing" phones! Graduating in 2017, he joined the first cohort at MAPON University where, finding the curriculum too general, he embarked on intensive self-directed learning in the computer lab.

In 2019, he co-created "Busoga," a local social network. In 2021, his "intelligent virtual ophthalmologist" project won an innovation award. Confronted with the lack of medical data adapted to the Congolese context, this field experience led him to develop "Tradition Learning."

Gregory Serdahl’s working life has unfolded through consistent effort, practical responsibility, and long-term engagement with people and organizations. His career reflects a measured progression across creative study, nonprofit leadership, and therapeutic wellness, rather than a narrow or accelerated path. By combining leadership roles with hands-on practice, he developed an approach rooted in experience, accountability, and sustained service.

Across multiple decades, Gregory has operated in environments that required both structure and personal involvement. His professional background includes managing nonprofit arts organizations and later founding and operating a national wellness company. These roles placed him in collaboration with professional athletes, institutional clients, and public figures. In each setting, he focused on reliability, ethical conduct, and systems designed to function effectively over time.

Gregory’s academic journey began at the University of California, Irvine, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater between 1983 and 1986. His studies emphasized collaboration, performance theory, and disciplined preparation. After completing his education, Gregory entered the nonprofit arts sector and became artistic director of the Alisal Center for the Fine Arts. From January 1986 to January 1989, he was responsible for daily operations, budgeting, fundraising, and community engagement. This role strengthened his ability to lead mission-driven organizations while remaining responsive to the needs of underserved populations.

Gregory’s transition into wellness followed his participation in massage programs at Michael O'Shea's Sport Training Institute. In 1991, he founded Serdahl Associates, which later became Massage America, Ltd. His goal was to build a massage and wellness organization capable of operating within large institutional environments. Under his leadership, the company managed massage programs for Crunch Fitness, several New York Sports Club locations, and the New York Football Giants during the Dan Reeves era.

Massage America later partnered with Mount Sinai and NYU hospitals, the Printing House Athletic Club, and the Manhattan Athletic Club. Gregory oversaw staffing, operations, and service consistency across these settings. These responsibilities reinforced his understanding of how therapeutic services can be integrated into athletic, medical, and corporate systems while maintaining professional standards.

Alongside his role as a business owner, Gregory continued to work directly with clients. His practice included individuals from politics, professional sports, media, and the arts. On one notable day, his schedule included Ed Koch, Lawrence Taylor, Edgar Bronfman, Katharine Hepburn, and Arthur Ashe. These experiences reflected trust developed through discretion, technical skill, and steady practice.

Gregory’s therapeutic background includes deep tissue massage, Swedish techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy. He also incorporates yoga, Pilates, Yogic Neuromuscular Therapy, as taught by the late Dyal Singh Khalsa, Gyrotonics training, and certification as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. Dr. Joel Ross has dedicated nearly 40 years to medicine as a physician, clinical researcher, teacher, lecturer, and author. His professional life reflects a consistent commitment to patient care, medical education, and clinical research, with a strong focus on older adults. His achievements include being named Teacher of the Year, becoming the first geriatrician in New Jersey, and establishing the state's first geriatric fellowship program. He has also been recognized as a Best Doctor in New Jersey and has contributed to the development of FDA-approved oral and transdermal medications for Alzheimer’s disease. He is the founder and CEO of J&D Pharmaceuticals LLC in Monmouth, New Jersey.

His clinical expertise centers on geriatric medicine, including the diagnosis and treatment of conditions associated with aging. Dr. Ross has focused on caring for patients with cognitive disorders while also managing a wide range of medical conditions that affect older adults. His work emphasizes careful evaluation, evidence-based decision-making, and long-term continuity of care.

On a personal level, he has been happily married for nearly 47 years and maintains an active lifestyle. He is ranked number one in the country at the highest level of expertise in men’s doubles pickleball, ages 70-74, and is ranked in the top 5 nationally in men’s singles. His accomplishments include many gold, silver, and bronze medals earned in both singles and doubles competition.

Dr. Joel Ross received his undergraduate education at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where he earned a BA in Biology. He later obtained his Medical Degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and became chief resident at Nassau County Medical Center. He completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York under the mentorship of Dr. Robert N. Butler, the first Director of the National Institute on Aging.

Following his formal training, he was selected as the first Medical Director of the Anna Alexander Greenwall Geriatric Program at Monmouth Medical Center, an endowed position. He also served as Director of the Geriatric Fellowship Program at Monmouth Medical Center, which became the first geriatric fellowship program in New Jersey and trained physicians who later practiced throughout the state and the United States.

He later served for seven years as Director of the Geriatrics Section in the Department of Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. In 2000, he opened the Memory Enhancement Center of America in New York and New Jersey, where multidisciplinary teams provided care for patients with cognitive disorders and conducted clinical research focused on Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Joel Ross has also played an essential role in pharmaceutical development and clinical research leadership. He co-founded RN NanoPharmaceuticals, LLC, in Monmouth Beach, and in 2023, founded J&D Pharmaceuticals, continuing his long-standing focus on translating scientific research into potential treatments for severe medical conditions.

Through this work, he and his collaborators completed an animal study on traumatic brain injury at the University of Oklahoma. In that study, proprietary compound JD-005 reduced acetylated tau levels and significantly improved neurological outcomes in rats following head trauma.

He and his colleagues at the University of Florida in Gainesville are currently conducting clinical research examining acetylated tau as a biomarker in traumatic brain injury patients. J&D Pharmaceuticals has received three Orphan Drug Designations from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for compounds JD-004 and JD-005, including for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease, Progeria and related laminopathies, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
