Born in 1970, Rich earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bradley University in 1992. He later completed executive education programs at Harvard University to strengthen his strategic leadership perspective. He has also served as a featured speaker at the University of Illinois, presenting on entrepreneurship, investment strategy, and real estate development.

Early in his career, he represented major Chicago area operating companies in complex commercial real estate transactions while identifying promising private investment opportunities.
