My name is Fabrizio Cafolla and I’m a DevOps & Platform Engineer.
In my work, I mainly focus on designing cloud architectures and automating CI/CD processes, with the goal of making life easier for development teams and improving the reliability of software delivery.

I work primarily with AWS and GCP, managing infrastructure through IaC, mainly using Terraform. The languages I use most are Python and Bash, with some experience in TypeScript and Go, which I’m continuing to explore.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work with very different kinds of organizations: small and medium-sized businesses, corporate environments in the banking sector, and startup ecosystems. This has helped me understand how important it is to adapt tools, processes, and technical solutions to the context and the people you work with, rather than the other way around.

I’m very connected to the open-source world and to knowledge sharing. I firmly believe that free, accessible, and transparent sharing is the fundamental engine of technological and human progress. That’s why I try to document and share what I do through projects, articles, and content on my blog.

Arvind is Head of Data at Fellow, a San Francisco-based premium coffee equipment company where he built the entire data stack from scratch as a team of one and now building the AI stack. He runs everything from ingestion to dashboards across dbt Cloud, BigQuery, and Looker, with Claude and MCP as part of the architecture for making the warehouse conversational and actionable. After graduating from Penn State University, I worked for the federal government for a decade in various analyst roles doing things as mundane as personnel budgeting and as exciting as presenting to the Director of the FBI and testifying as an expert to grand juries.

After leaving civil service, my next decade was spent attempting to perfect theme park vacations by working for TouringPlans.com. We used statistics and lots and lots of research to optimize peoples theme park trips and I assisted in many ways from research tasks and writing to starting a travel agency to filming YouTube videos that have over 1 million views.
