Catherine Jones

Catherine Jones

Hey there! I'm Catherine Jones, CEO and Transaction Coach at Zuzi Strategies, where I guide clients through high-stakes transactions as a coach, business advisor, and mentor all rolled into one. With over 25 years of experience navigating complex deals, I've been involved in transactions exceeding $72 billion. From debt restructuring with two restraining orders blocking the deal to managing transactions during a coup and counter-revolt, I've even closed deals while governments were in complete turmoil!

My career has spanned the globe, dealing with everything from managing transactions during political upheavals to assessing how deal disclosures might impact presidential elections in an island nation. I'm fluent in Spanish and interned on the Supreme Court of Argentina. And if you think US deals are wild, try negotiating international transactions while governments are in turmoil!

I've recently transitioned to transaction coaching, recognizing that much of my time was spent delving into the psychology of deals. I was even called an "expensive therapist" by a legal client! I serve as a sounding board and advisor to clients going through the emotional roller coaster of high-stakes transactions, keeping my clients true to their end goals and values in that chaos.

Now, I'm thrilled to share my expertise with you. Join me at "Unlocking Your Startup Toolbox: Mastering the Mix of Funding Tools for Success" in the Money Track, where I'll explain the variety of funding options available to startups (it's not just loans and VCs) and how to navigate the funding maze, drawing from my own wild deal experiences and those of others. Let's explore actionable insights together and pave the way for your startup's success.

And don't miss me in the Fun Track at "The Ultimate Entrepreneurial Challenge: Pivot, Balance, Succeed" where we'll put entrepreneurial skills to the test in a completely different way!

Oh, and when I'm not coaching clients through transformational deals, you can find me exploring the Western Slope, capturing moments through my lens, or lost in a good book. Let's connect, learn, and thrive together in Colorado's vibrant startup community!

Pooja Vazirani

Hi, I’m Pooja Vazirani. I work as a Sr. UX Designer at OneTrust and am pursuing my MBA in Data-Driven Decision Making in Miami, FL. My focus has been to design human-centred, privacy-focused experiences that make complex systems feel seamless, secure, and intuitive.

Previously, I was at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where I led UX for enterprise procurement tools used by thousands of B2B customers. I have also built safety-critical interfaces at Motorola Solutions and crafted inclusive, high-impact designs for the University of Michigan Alumni Association, boosting engagement and cutting support requests by over half.

With a background in Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Science, I am passionate about using design to connect the dots between user needs, business goals, and engineering realities. Whether it’s privacy, accessibility, or feedback systems, I love solving messy problems at the intersection of data, ethics, and usability.

Outside of work, I’m a coffee lover, travel enthusiast, and mentor to early-career designers. I’m excited to be part of Agent Con and connect responsibly and creatively with people who believe in designing for the future.

Tara Furiani

Tara Furiani

What happens when you mix relentless drive, academic prowess, and an innate knack for reading people? You get Tara Furiani. She isn't just in the people business—she is the people business. With over two decades of transformative leadership under her belt, Tara shatters the conventional, often stodgy, paradigms of HR and corporate culture, bringing humanity back into the workplace.

Sporting dual Master's degrees in Psychology and Organizational Leadership, Tara's academic mettle is as rock-solid as her real-world chops. Her slew of advanced certifications isn't just for show; it’s her toolkit for crafting highly responsive, agile organizations. She’s been the mastermind behind multiple industry-defining shifts during her 13 years as a Chief People Officer for companies valued over $6 billion and employing more than 10,000 people worldwide.

But let's cut through the corporate jargon: Tara is a people champion. She fights for DEI not just as a buzzword but as a way of life, all the way from boardrooms on Earth to the realms of space, serving on NASA's DEI board. For Tara, equity isn't just a corporate initiative; it's a universal mandate.

Still think she’s all business? Think again. A mother of five and a doting partner, Tara knows the real-world application of work-life balance like no other. She's the driving force of her family and the beating heart of her home, roles she embraces with the same vigor as her corporate undertakings.

If you need further proof, lend an ear to her hit podcast, "Not the HR Lady," where she tackles the industry's stale narratives and offers fresh, often revolutionary, perspectives. And don't be fooled by the exec persona; she can drop a Dr. Dre lyric faster than you can say "organizational change."

When you partner with Tara Furiani, you’re not just getting a consultant or a thought leader. You’re aligning with a living, breathing catalyst for meaningful change—in your organization and in your life. Are you ready?

Many times people told me that I should focus on one system or one programming language and become an expert in it. I never liked to listen to such advice.

During over 10 years of career as a SAP consultant, I worked on almost every SAP module ever released. My ABAP code written in Walldorf is probably still used by many companies. I hired, trained and managed tens of great technical consultants. Then I spent 6 years in the IoT and Edge AI business, building technical team while taking care of business development and delivering custom hardware solutions to clients on 4 continents, using (again) many technologies and programming languages.

Today I am still not an expert in a narrow domain, but thanks to that I am proud to join my mother company as someone with commercial experience and expertise in SAP, IoT, AI and Software Development, to take care of the entire technology stack and serve over 130 professionals as a Chief Technology Officer.
