I’m a creative, people-first service and experience designer with 15+ years of transforming complex programmes into end-to-end services that leaders, boards, and delivery teams can understand, fund, and scale. I’m successful because empathy is where I start, not where I stop, to deliver quality products, services and experiences that make a positive impact.
My work bridges design thinking, service design, and systems thinking principles applied to AI enablement for products, workflows and teams. In practice, I lead service, experience, and learning design across tech-forward, AI-heavy programmes, often as the first and only designer in the room. In the past, I have helped several emerging teams and startups build a shared practice and find smarter, more inclusive ways through their most ambiguous challenges, so I’m confident as hire #1 or leading a growing team.

Keith Sanders

Keith Sanders

Keith Sanders spent his early years attending Raleigh-Broughton High School, where he developed an interest in teamwork and community responsibility. During that time, he became aware of the importance of helping others during emergencies and difficult situations. After graduating from high school, he attended North Carolina State University. His experience there helped strengthen his understanding of leadership, communication, and cooperation while encouraging his interest in public safety and emergency response work.

Keith Sanders of Raleigh later pursued firefighter training through Western Wake Fire Rescue. He completed Firefighter Training I and II, gaining the technical knowledge and physical preparation required for emergency response duties. The training focused on organization, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations. This stage of his life became an important step toward entering active firefighting service and provided the experience needed for future responsibilities in public safety operations.

Keith served as a firefighter from 1999 through 2003, responding to emergencies that required focus, preparation, and reliable teamwork. During those years, he worked in demanding situations where quick decision-making and communication were essential. The experience shaped many of the values that continued guiding his life after his firefighting career ended. Although he stepped away from active service in 2003, he remained connected to emergency response efforts and continued supporting community-focused projects whenever possible.

Keith Sanders of North Carolina became more involved in nonprofit organizations and volunteer outreach after transitioning out of the fire service. He supported groups including Rise Against Hunger, A Place at the Table, Artspace, and Project Reach Out. In addition to nonprofit involvement, he participated in church outreach programs and cancer fundraising efforts throughout the state. Much of his volunteer work involved practical assistance and direct participation in projects that supported local communities and individuals facing challenges.

Keith participated in relief efforts during late 2024 after hurricanes caused significant damage in parts of the North Carolina mountains. During those operations, he helped transport water and support rescue-related activities connected to emergency recovery work. His firefighting background remained valuable in situations requiring physical effort and organized teamwork. The experience reflected his continued willingness to assist communities during emergencies and showed how his earlier training continued influencing his actions years later.

Sanders has also explored interests outside public service through appearances in films such as Shades of Grey, French Exit, and Tears of a Clown. Although acting was not the primary focus of his career, those opportunities enabled him to work in creative environments and broaden his experience. Alongside those interests, he remains active through running, biking, and soccer. He has completed several races in the Raleigh area and maintains a lifestyle centered on outdoor activity and physical fitness.

Keith Sanders continues to enjoy spending time along North Carolina’s coastal waters during the warmer months of the year. Boating and fishing remain important parts of his routine, providing balance alongside his volunteer work and community involvement. Fishing has become one of the activities he values most because it allows him to relax while remaining active outdoors. His steady dedication to volunteer service, emergency support, and local outreach continues to reflect the practical values and strong sense of responsibility that have guided his life over the years.

I have been passionate about cloud technologies for the last nine years.

From the beginning, I was impressed by how cloud technologies help engineers in their work and help deliver solutions much faster and easier.
For the last four years, my interests and work mainly focused on serverless infrastructure, containerized applications, and search.
Besides that, I am also curious about other cloud providers, like GCP and Azure.

Chris writes things.

Most of the time, he's writing code as a senior software engineer at his 9-5 working for SAS. Occasionally, usually late at night after his wife and three kids are asleep, it means writing fiction (often in the horror and fantasy space) as he prepares to launch his self-publishing author career.

Chris is passionate about helping people understand new or complex topics in ways that are engaging and entertaining, building software responsibly, and reminding engineers that curiosity and empathy are just as important as technical skill.

An extroverted engineer who genuinely enjoys speaking to a room full of people for 20+ minutes, Chris' presenting style has been described as "modern, with a TikTok flair" -- one of the greatest compliments he's ever received.

When he's not "writing things," you'll find him paying video games, reading fiction, or spending time with his favorite people (the aforementioned wife and three kids). he's also incredibly talented, funny, and a general pleasure to be around. And as an aside, he _insists_ that he did not write this bio.

I began my journey in technology, building a strong foundation as an engineer in a fast-paced, results-driven industry. While thriving in tech, I discovered something deeper , a calling to create, build, and empower beyond traditional career boundaries.

That realization led me to launch my own bespoke gifting company, where creativity meets strategy and personalization becomes a powerful business tool. As a founder, I blend technical thinking with design, innovation, and human connection , proving that logic and creativity are not opposites, but strengths when combined.

Today, I speak at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment. I advocate for women in tech to take bold chances, manage their time with intention, pursue their creative instincts, and keep going , even when the path feels uncertain.

Beyond business, I am a passionate community builder who designs and manages events that foster collaboration, belonging, and growth. I believe true success isn’t built alone , it’s built in community.

My work centers on helping individuals:
• Reclaim their creativity
• Build confidence to take risks
• Lead with both strategy and heart
• Create impact through connection

Whether through keynotes, workshops, or curated experiences, I aim to inspire professionals , especially women , to design careers and lives that feel purposeful, powerful, and truly their own.
