Karmaklubb* is an autonomous nomadic queer platform, a space for critical reflection, and celebration. An ever-morphing space for queer visibility and joy. Besides club evenings and nights, the programme consists of open conversations, curatorial work, screenings, artist talks, film production, panels, concerts, performance art, Drag, wine tastings, ale, and sometimes food. Things that are nice for the whole being. Since 2018 Karmaklubb* has realised more than 350 projects, among them hosted events of various sorts in addition to launching an extensive number of other projects on- and offline. Karmaklubb* is also a publishing and research platform, the IGWTLI publishing (established in 2018), that exists as essays, letters and gifts, transcripts, experimental written encounters, in addition to listening sets, podcasts, and an archive of ‘thought & pleasure’ — and new forms constantly to be explored. Critical reflections as well as pure joi (sic), anchored in the Karmaklubb* ever morphing and transcending practice with people being part of the travel. Partners and collaborators include museums, artist driven initiatives, print houses, publishers, a wide range of organisations and individuals working within the fields of arts and culture, rights and freedom of speech, as well as gastronomy and nightlife — in Norway and internationally.

Museum of Queer Culture to collaborate with Kilobase Bucharest, Romania, funded by EEA Grants 2014–2021 and RO-CULTURE Programme , with partner Coast Contemporary. Juliane Gorman

Juliane Gorman

Since moving to Ireland in 2022, Juliane Gorman has been deeply inspired by the landscape and by the abundance of sheep that dot the Irish countryside. She was surprised to discover that their wool is no longer widely valued and is often treated as waste. This tension between a rich natural resource and its present underuse has become central to her creative practice.

In 2025, she began working more intentionally with Irish wool, exploring its textures and potential while reconnecting with a material that is both local and forgotten.

Drawn always to colour and to the shoreline, she began combining cyanotype printing with felting. Using seaweed foraged above the tideline, she creates sun-printed images on silk, which are then integrated into wool.

Through this process, Juliane transforms two undervalued natural materials, wool and seaweed, into works that celebrate the beauty of Ireland’s coast and countryside.

I’m a strategist and entrepreneur who has spent 15 years building in early-stage environments, from founding my own venture to being part of founding teams across culture, design, and ecommerce. I use design as a tool - to ask better questions that drive decisions for impact.

I’ve built a bridge career that balances strategic clarity with execution depth, and in translating complex ideas into human-scale experiences. I've done this across contexts - producing immersive performances, designing community engagement approaches for impact organisations, building cultural infrastructure anchored in diversity, and leading product and creative strategy balancing value, quality and access.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and a constant drive to innovate - be it for profit or purpose.

I’m an alumna of the School of Planning and Architecture, a closeted artist and an open water swimmer.

*Hopefully by the time we may need to publish this, I would be able to additionally claim the title of a channel swimmer :)
