Tara Furiani

Tara Furiani

What happens when you mix relentless drive, academic prowess, and an innate knack for reading people? You get Tara Furiani. She isn't just in the people business—she is the people business. With over two decades of transformative leadership under her belt, Tara shatters the conventional, often stodgy, paradigms of HR and corporate culture, bringing humanity back into the workplace.

Sporting dual Master's degrees in Psychology and Organizational Leadership, Tara's academic mettle is as rock-solid as her real-world chops. Her slew of advanced certifications isn't just for show; it’s her toolkit for crafting highly responsive, agile organizations. She’s been the mastermind behind multiple industry-defining shifts during her 13 years as a Chief People Officer for companies valued over $6 billion and employing more than 10,000 people worldwide.

But let's cut through the corporate jargon: Tara is a people champion. She fights for DEI not just as a buzzword but as a way of life, all the way from boardrooms on Earth to the realms of space, serving on NASA's DEI board. For Tara, equity isn't just a corporate initiative; it's a universal mandate.

Still think she’s all business? Think again. A mother of five and a doting partner, Tara knows the real-world application of work-life balance like no other. She's the driving force of her family and the beating heart of her home, roles she embraces with the same vigor as her corporate undertakings.

If you need further proof, lend an ear to her hit podcast, "Not the HR Lady," where she tackles the industry's stale narratives and offers fresh, often revolutionary, perspectives. And don't be fooled by the exec persona; she can drop a Dr. Dre lyric faster than you can say "organizational change."

When you partner with Tara Furiani, you’re not just getting a consultant or a thought leader. You’re aligning with a living, breathing catalyst for meaningful change—in your organization and in your life. Are you ready?

Evan Roderick

Evan Roderick

As a fan of Evan Roderick, I’ve found his journey to be both motivating and meaningful. Watching someone go from the intensity of competitive sports to becoming an accomplished actor/songwriter speaks volumes about his focus and willingness to grow.

I first saw Evan on Arrow as Detective Nick Anastas, where his presence felt steady and natural. There was something about the way he carried himself, calm yet purposeful, that drew me in. Later, I learned about his background in hockey, which only added to my respect for him. He played at the Division I level for UMass Lowell before a significant injury changed his plans. That turning point led him to pursue acting, and from what I’ve seen, he gave it the same level of commitment as he did to his time on the ice.

Growing up in Vancouver, Evan Roderick Anderson was always on the move, changing schools to follow his hockey goals. Along the way, he took on summer jobs in commercials, which turned out to be his first step into the world of performance. After his injury, he came back to Vancouver, trained in acting, and started from the ground up. It’s clear that nothing about his career has been handed to him; he’s earned every step.

His performance in Spinning Out, as Justin Davis, was where many fans, including myself, really connected with his work. He portrayed the emotional tension of the role with sincerity, and it was hard not to relate to the character’s struggles and growth.

Now, with If I Run, Evan steps into the role of Dylan Roberts, a character shaped by inner conflict. It’s exciting to watch him take on more challenging material, especially after receiving a Leo Award nomination in 2023 for Sealed with a List.

And with songs like “Early Years,” he shows another side of his creativity, thoughtful, personal, and honest.

Evan Roderick continues to impress with his dedication to both acting and songwriting, and being a fan of his work makes following his journey truly worthwhile.

I started my career as a software engineer before moving into product management, where I combine two things that define me: a builder’s mindset and a creative spirit. I’ve been drawing since childhood, and that visual thinking shapes how I design, ask questions, and solve complex problems. Today I lead AI and analytics products at LSports, driven by curiosity, passion, and a love for turning ambiguity into something real.

When I faced the challenge of discovery without customers, I put on both hats - PM and builder - and created an agentic persona system from scratch. That project changed the way I collaborate with AI and make decisions. Beyond building products, I’m deeply committed to mentoring and helping others push beyond their comfort zone. On stage, I share honest stories, practical insights, and a belief that innovation is possible for anyone willing to experiment.

Research Project: The Transformation of Asian and Asian American Stereotypes and Representations in the United States

Conducted media content analysis to investigate how dominant narratives about Asians and Asian Americans have been constructed to serve shifting national interests and maintain racial hierarchies.
Analyzed a diverse range of sources, including magazine articles like “How to Tell Japs from the Chinese,” political cartoon “The Honorable Fifth Column,” and COVID-19 anti-Asian news reports.
Argued that while modes of expression evolve, the underlying hegemonic frameworks of stereotype persist, demonstrating the shift from overt to subtle forms of representation in the modern era.
This research, which drew upon frameworks of racial formation and stereotype theory, culminated in a 30 pages paper and a departmental presentation.

Hello there! I'm Miguel, a web developer known for my passion for crafting user-centric web applications. With extensive experience in front-end technologies like React, Vue.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript, as well as a strong background in back-end development using Ruby on Rails and Node.js. Throughout my career, I've been deeply involved in all aspects of web development, consistently following agile/Scrum methodologies. My primary goal is to consistently deliver exceptional products that prioritize user satisfaction, and having a background as a Product Designer in the past, helps me to bring a keen eye for user-centric design principles and a deep understanding of user needs to every project. I also have past experience on the stages of TDC (The Developers Conference) in Sao Paulo and Florianópolis, and other smaller events in the region I live. I've given talks on various topics, including UX principles, Nielsen heuristics, pair programming, and pair design. Additionally, I actively participated in an internal training program at my company, where I focused on the intersection of code and design. I delved into essential aspects such as accessibility, responsiveness, and UX, along with diving into more technical topics like databases and programming as a whole.
