Stein Ove Røv has more than 25 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, digitalisation and leadership. His interest in technology began in the early 1980s, when he started programming games and other software on early microcomputers.

He currently works as Strategic Advisor and Head of Crisis Management for Digitalisation and IT at Skagerak Energi. His work includes digital strategy, cybersecurity, digital resilience and crisis preparedness. He has previously led the company’s Platform Services department, with responsibility for IT operations, infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Stein Ove has studied economics, management, organisational development and regional planning. He also has an academic background in history, with a specialisation in Russian foreign policy. He has been a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) since 2010.

During his career, he has held senior roles including CIO, CTO and CISO, as well as several board positions. He previously led the information security work at Komplett Group, which was recognised with the FIDUS Award in 2013.

From 2012 to 2016, he served as Chairman of SAP User Group Norway and represented Norway in the global leadership team of SUGEN, the SAP User Group Executive Network.
