He has worked in Financial, Power Generation, Industrial, Military and most recently Academic roles. Paula Corrigan-Halpern has more than 25 years of experience of leading statewide advocacy efforts and building public support for innovative practices and policies that improve the health, education, and well-being of children and families.

Paula has led Brightpoint’s Ahlquist Center for Policy, Practice & Innovation since 2013. The Ahlquist Center advances program innovations and public policies that are antiracist, equitable and directed at creating social capital, economic mobility and systems designed to insure thriving children, families and communities. The Ahlquist Center team has passed legislation providing child care to families of young children exposed to neglect or abuse and establishing the Governor’s Youth Budget Commission. The Youth Budget Commission analyzes public spending for older youth and young adults and recommends policies and funding strategies to enable young people to enter adulthood with the skills, education and agency to build exceptional lives. Programs incubated by the Ahlquist Center include the Illinois Pregnant and Parenting Youth in Care (IPPYC) Home Visiting pilot and the Power of Fathers program.

Prior to joining Brightpoint, Paula was the policy advocacy director at Voices for Illinois Children where she worked closely with staff, partner organizations, and community leaders to create effective policy solutions and champion Voices’ advocacy agenda in Springfield. She has also worked on family economic security issues, afterschool initiatives, and K-12 education, directing communications for the Education, Human Development, and Workforce Division at American Institutes for Research. Paula directed the state policy agenda for Metropolitan Family Services and worked as a journalist early in her career.

Dr. Bernard James Remollino (He/They/Siya) is an Associate Professor of U.S. and Asian American & Pacific American History at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California. Their doctoral work focused on the history of Filipinx American popular culture, labor, and migration in California during the early twentieth century. Bernard writes on Filipinx American histories, Asian American popular cultures, and transpacific cultural imaginaries in the Philippine diaspora. Bernard is a 1.5-generation undocumented immigrant from Makati, Philippines. Their family first settled in Stockton and still resides in the San Joaquin Valley.

Bernard collaborates with several Filipinx American organizations across California in amplifying the histories of struggle and community building that make Filipinx experiences part of the larger fabric of U.S. history. They are a National Trustee for the Filipino American National Historical Society representing the Mid-California FANHS chapters of Stockton, Central Valley, California Central Coast, Fresno, and Delano. Imani Barton is the Head of Strategic Partnerships for the Chief Innovation Office for Northrop Grumman, a leader in aerospace & defense technology. She leads the strategy and execution of emerging technology partnerships as well as validating innovative solutions enterprise wide.

Imani has held a number of positions since joining the company in 2017. As the Strategic Partnerships PM she is responsible for identifying emerging technology companies that serve the needs of Northrop Grumman world wide. She’s holds pride in developing the technical scouting process that advances the Innovation Ecosystem of the enterprise and positions NG as a cutting edge technology company.
Before her role in the CIO, Imani served as the Global Supply Chain Process Excellence Manager for the Strategic Space Systems Division; the largest space business in the world at that time. She was responsible for integrating compliance, process improvement, and digital transformation training efforts to establish a more efficient, end-to-end experience for Global Supply Chain Operations.
Prior to this, she served as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Australia region for the Mission Systems Sector. Her efforts of advising strategically for business development led Northrop Grumman to improve their global ranking to ‘The Top 5 Most Successful Companies' in a global contract.
Imani’s initial introduction to Northrop Grumman was through the Mission Systems Pathways Program where she rotated in various supply chain roles and ultimately exited to an international program as a Supply Chain Planning lead in the then Aerospace Sector.
Imani has also served as the Chairman of the African American Task Group in South Bay where she oversaw the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy, workforce development, and leadership development to build a culture of belonging at Northrop. Her work assisted Northrop Grumman in earning ‘Top 50 Company for Diversity” throughout aerospace and defense.
Imani is a proud HBCU graduate, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and leadership from Oakwood University. She has also completed a program in Entrepreneurial Studies at Cornell University and a host of leadership-development programs. She holds certifications as a Scaled Agile Consultant and Practitioner.
