Through Soteria Technologies, I have had the opportunity to work on initiatives around digital literacy, education technology, ICT infrastructure, Internet governance and community digital access.

But one thing I have learned is that having a good technology solution is only one part of the journey.

Espen Holtebu started his career as a solar engineer before moving into data engineering. A strong foundation in SQL and analytical thinking made the transition natural and fun.

Today Espen works with modern data platforms in the public sector, helping teams navigate the shift from legacy, GUI‑based tooling to code‑driven, transparent workflows. He focuses on practical enablement, organizational change, and building sustainable ways of working with data at scale.

Outside of work, Espen enjoys fishing and spending time in nature with his family.
