She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M International University in 2001, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She then completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2005, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital, where she later became Co-Chief Medical Resident.
