At the age of 22, while in her final year of medical school at the University of Nigeria, she founded KIDS IN LET, a non-profit organization focused on empowering children - especially girls - living in rural communities/ slums in Nigeria with hands-on Leadership and STEM skills, to combat plastic pollution and climate change in their local communities and the world at large.

Her work has since reached hundreds of children through hands-on STEM workshops and advocacy in various Nigerian communities instilling a culture of environmental consciousness and innovation in them. Irene is committed to building a generation of problem-solvers who see challenges as opportunities to lead.

Irene made history in 2023 as the first Nigerian student interviewed and featured in the British Dental Journal, recognized for her groundbreaking fusion of medicine and robotics. A distinguished graduate of UNN, Dr. Irene earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2024, receiving distinctions and was honored as the Best graduating female student.

Born on January 3rd, 1960, in India, Dr. Jacob’s journey in medicine began when he enrolled at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, where he obtained his MBBS degree in 1983. Following his undergraduate education, he chose to specialize in internal medicine and completed his MD in General Internal Medicine in 1991, further strengthening his medical foundation.

In 1992, Dr. Jacob moved to the United Kingdom, where he gained valuable international experience. He worked as a Senior House Officer and Medical Registrar at Letterkenny General Hospital in Ireland, a position that allowed him to develop his clinical skills further.
