Ivo Emanuilov is an interdisciplinary researcher and IP legal expert. He is currently writing a doctoral thesis on the overlapping of the eligibility, obviousness and enablement doctrines in the assessment of patentability of algorithmic inventions in the UK, Europe and the US. He is interested in problems of intellectual property law that can be solved with the tools of mathematical reasoning. His research and teaching interests cover also software engineering, artificial intelligence and mathematical structures in computer science.
Ivo has a first class honours degree in law from the University of Sofia and an LLM Intellectual Property Law (with distinction) from the University of Leuven.
