Lorenzo Cremonese works as Expert of Power-to-X Technologies at the PtX Lab Lausitz in Cottbus (Germany) since January 2023. He owns a MSc in Earth Sciences and a PhD in geochemistry from the UCL London. He has more than ten years of experience in the field of environmental protection and energy, in particular on carbon dioxide utilization and storage, sustainable hydrogen production and PtX technologies. He is currently engaged with resource demand for the production of synthetic kerosene and carbon cycle in PtX applications. Empecé a programar a los 15 años pero no fue hasta el tercer año de la carrera de producción de cine, que me di cuenta que la aplicación que había estando desarrollando para administrar los recursos de los proyectos audiovisuales de la facultad tenía un real potencial de negocio si lo adaptaba a otras industrias.

Entonces decidí crear el primer sistema de gestión empresarial que sea compatible con todos los negocios, de todos los rubros y tamaños (no lo intenten en sus casas).

El desarrollo de WorkOS Cloud me llevó varios años y los desafíos que me propuso su naturaleza versátil me llevaron a detectar necesidades tecnológicas no solo del mercado, sino del mundo en sí.

Fue entonces que en paralelo comencé el desarrollo de un ecosistema de tecnologías que pretendo, tengan impacto tecnológico, productivo y social en el mundo.

Este ecosistema esta interrelacionado y comparte una visión interoperable y en especial desburocratizada del mundo que viene.

Uno de los desarrollos, por ejemplo, que consiste en una serie de protocolos para estandarizar, simplificar y facilitar la conexión de todas las operaciones financieras fue seleccionado y reconocido en el Programa de Innovación Financiera del BCRA.

En tanto a lo comercial, continué desarrollando aplicaciones satélite para abordar mercados específicos de manera efectiva aprovechando la infraestructura de WorkOS Cloud.

El continuo trabajo de investigación, análisis e implementación que requirió no solo el desarrollo técnico de WorkOS Cloud, las aplicaciones satélite, los trabajos privados y protocolos, sino también el desarrollo de esquemas organizacionales escalables y de marketing estratégico, me hizo adquirir una visión particular y muy panorámica de todo el proceso de creación y adaptación social de productos, servicios y tecnologías en todas sus instancias.

Actualmente estoy en busca de establecer los desarrollos comerciales en el mercado y crear mi marca personal para impulsar la comunidad de los proyectos abiertos interrelacionados.

Education and Global Citizenship:
My passion for education led me to join the STEM Ambassadors program in August 2023. There, I contribute to igniting enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and math in younger generations. This aligns with my experience as an International Mentor with the OCIIP since January 2022, where I guide and support aspiring innovators and creators.

In August 2023, I participated as a Delegate at the Nexus Model United Nations, gaining valuable experience in diplomacy and global cooperation. Previously, in October 2020, I took part in the Youth International Summit Model UN, further solidifying my interest in international affairs.

Environmental Advocacy and Action:
Combating climate change is a crucial concern for me. Since November 2021, I've served as a Climate Action Project Educator with Take Action Global, actively raising awareness and inspiring others to take action. Additionally, I volunteered with the Environment and Safety Volunteer Corps from August 2020 to August 2022, contributing to environmental protection and safety initiatives.

Promoting Goodwill and Social Change:
Currently, I hold the prestigious position of Ambassador with the Global Goodwill Ambassadors Foundation (GGAF) since March 2024. This role allows me to champion social causes and advocate for a more just and equitable world.

Shashank Shekhar is a machine learning engineer and researcher. He is the co-founder of Dice Health, a startup dedicated to developing automation tools for healthcare providers, aimed at accelerating the delivery of care. Dice Health is currently a part of the Next AI 2024 incubator cohort.

Prior to founding Dice Health, Shashank worked at Meta AI Research pursuing research on scaling laws, self-supervised computer vision, and foundation models. Before that, he was at the Vector Institute doing research on explainable AI, visual reasoning, and dynamic neural networks. His first foray into machine learning happened at the Indian Institute Of Science’s Data Science department, where he worked on projects involving visual question answering, entity re-identification, and object detection.

Shashank holds a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Guelph and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad. His extensive ML experience also includes collaborations with NEXT-AI Toronto, Layer6 AI Toronto, Shell R&D Center Bangalore, HyperWorks Imaging Bangalore, and Samsung Research Institute Delhi.
