Kai Koenig

Software Architect and Engineering Lead with 20+ years building and scaling web and mobile platforms. I specialise in JVM-based backend systems, mobile development (Android, Flutter), and the architecture that connects them.

Most recently, I led the architectural transition of a global online dating platform from legacy monoliths to .NET microservices with React frontends, while continuing to operate the existing JVM-based API platform serving over 1 billion interactions per month. I also introduced an AI-assisted software engineering program, integrating tools like Cursor and AI agents into team workflows. I lead distributed engineering teams, own DevOps pipelines, and bridge the gap between product strategy and technical execution.

My work spans hands-on development, system design, and team leadership, often all three simultaneously. I'm equally comfortable debugging a race condition in production, designing a multi-region deployment strategy, or mentoring engineers through a complex refactor.

I run my consulting practice through Ventego Creative, which has allowed me to work with organisations ranging from startups to enterprises including Vodafone, Citibank, Siemens, Cupid Media, Raygun, and DistroKid. I also maintain several open-source SDKs (Android, Flutter, Ruby, Python, Node) for Raygun's error tracking platform.

Beyond client work, I'm an active conference speaker (Droidcon, Android Makers, CFCamp, and others), a technology writer for European IT publications, and have been co-organising community meetup groups since the start of my career. I hold a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and am currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science.

Early in her career, Dr. Sarvis became a leader in the corporate wellness space, spending more than a decade designing and delivering instructor trainings and workplace wellness programs. She worked closely with executives and leadership teams to improve employee productivity, retention, and morale—while reducing workplace injuries, repetitive stress disorders, and rising healthcare costs. This hands-on experience shaped her ability to translate complex health and performance concepts into practical, results-driven strategies.

Dr. Sarvis graduated Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian from Life University, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. She holds chiropractic licenses in three states and practiced for 25 years in Woodstock, Georgia. Since 2008, she has also served as Adjunct Faculty at Life University, mentoring future healthcare leaders and professionals.
A pioneer in digital education, Dr. Sarvis built a global audience after amassing more than four million views on her YouTube channel, DoctorCathy. In 2009, she launched an online platform that reached tens of thousands of women worldwide, teaching natural approaches to healthy pregnancies, empowered births, and raising thriving families. Her expertise has taken her to stages across the United States and internationally, including engagements in England, Scotland, Italy, Belgium, and Costa Rica, speaking for state organizations, schools, and professional conferences.

Committed to advancing leadership within her profession, Dr. Sarvis has served on the Board of the League of Chiropractic Women since 2013 and on the Georgia Council of Chiropractic Board since 2014. From 2020 to 2025, she hosted the weekly Georgia Chiro Connection webinar series and served as a regular host and educator for multiple national platforms, including ChiroSecure’s Empowering Women in Chiropractic, ChiroTouch, and the League of Chiropractic Women—collectively reaching thousands of professionals through virtual stages.
Her leadership and impact have been widely recognized. In 2017, Dr. Sarvis was named one of the “Top 25 Chiropractors” by Dr. Josh Axe, and in 2021 she was honored as the Georgia Council of Chiropractic Chiropractor of the Year.

FutureHabits is my counter-design to the usual self-optimization:

🔹 No “more discipline” slogans

🔹 No 10-step morning routine for people with 2 hours of free time

I work with people who carry a lot of responsibility and that’s exactly why they fail at habits:
because stress eats behavior.

I combine behavioral science principles (how behavior is formed and why it breaks), clear structure, and pragmatic execution:

🔹 small interventions you can actually stick to in real life
🔹 focus on everyday problems: overwhelm, sleep, digital stress, distractibility, and the feeling of constantly falling behind
🔹 nature as your supporter

Right now I’m turning FutureHabits into a book, building on my online course, community, and coaching experience.

🔗 Book: https://book.futurehabits.guide
🔗 Community & Online Course: https://community.futurehabits.guide

Topics
🔹 Habits & intentional behavior change
🔹 Stress & performance (without hustle)
🔹 Focus & energy management
🔹 Resilience
🔹 Self-leadership
🔹 Sustainable energy
🔹 Closeness to nature

Audience
🔹 Professionals
🔹 Leaders / executives
🔹 Tech leads
🔹 People in high-pressure roles

Not for: people who only want inspiration but don’t want to change anything
