I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at IDLAB, UGent - imec.

I have always been passionate about Technology and Science. After finishing my MSc in Electrical & Computing Engineering, I worked for 1.2 years as an R&D Intern in a Portuguese company, where I was involved in EU-funded projects. I gained a lot of technical skills but also learned how to communicate effectively by being involved in the preparation and writing of EU project proposals.

Then, I decided to pursue an international career by starting my Doctoral studies in a foreign country at Ghent University, Belgium. During my Ph.D., I worked on network management solutions focused on Smart Cities and the Internet of Things (IoT). Also, I enrolled in diverse specialist workshops and extracurricular training to broaden my skills as a researcher (e.g. Leadership, Project Management).
