Joe Sottolano

Joe Sottolano, a New York native, was among the 36 athletes nationwide chosen to try out for Team USA in 1990, marking a significant milestone early in his athletic career. His prowess was further recognized when he earned the title of Most Outstanding Player (MOP) during the 1988 Division III NCAA Baseball National Championship.

Joe has a distinguished 23-year tenure in Division I coaching, 14 of which he served as a head coach. Under his guidance, more than 20 student-athletes have been selected in the MLB Amateur Draft, and he has coached 46 All-Americans. His coaching efforts saw Chris Rowley reach the Major Leagues, a testament to his effectiveness as a mentor and leader.

Guided by the core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence—values ingrained during his time at West Point—Joe's approach to coaching has shaped his personal and professional life profoundly.

Joe's journey began at Minisink Valley High School in Orange County, New York, where his exceptional skill earned him the 1986 Times Herald Records Tri-County Player of the Year. He continued to excel at Ithaca College, leading the Bombers to a national championship as a sophomore and earning the distinction of the most outstanding player of the Division III World Series.

He was responsible for the pitching staff and the team's strength and agility programs, recruiting talented players and setting the stage for future successes.

Joe returned to Ithaca College to earn a Master of Science, further refining his coaching abilities while assisting the baseball team.

In 1992, Joe's career took a significant turn when he joined the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Starting as an Army Assistant Coach, he was promoted to Head Coach in 2000. At USMA, he transformed the Division I Baseball Team, surpassing recruitment and fundraising targets and fostering a culture of Excellence and integrity. He managed all on-field instruction, practice schedules, and comprehensive training programs.

As head coach from 2000 to 2013, Joe elevated USMA's baseball program to national prominence, securing multiple NCAA tournament berths for the first time in over a century and becoming the winning coach in the Academy's history.

He managed a substantial annual budget, raised over $4 million through fundraising, and significantly expanded USMA's donor base. His leadership extended beyond the field as he served as the team's brand ambassador on major sports networks.

After West Point, Joe was a lead instructor at the Frozen Ropes National Training Center and later at the Extra Innings Baseball/Softball Facility, where he developed comprehensive training manuals for coaches.

Jaser Zaabri

Jaser Zaabri

Jaser Zaabri is an American Jordanian entrepreneur and business executive recognized for his work across construction, disaster restoration, recruiting, real estate, and hospitality investment. He is the Founder & CEO of Evolve Holdings (Investment & Operating Group), a privately held platform that manages and invests in companies operating in multiple sectors.

Born in the United States into a Jordanian family with strong business ties in the Gulf region, Jaser grew up around discussions of trade, construction, and international operations. His father, Munir Zaabri, along with extended family members, was connected with firms engaged in engineering, oilfield services, and commercial trading throughout the UAE and surrounding countries. This early exposure gave him a clear view of how cross-border businesses function and influenced his interest in building companies.

The Zaabri family’s commercial involvement dates back to the early 1970s. Relatives played roles in organizations such as Universal Trading Group, Target Engineering & Construction Company, and Al Ahlia Group. These companies contributed to infrastructure projects and also supported the entry of global consumer brands into Gulf markets. Growing up with this background, Zaabri developed an understanding of long-term business development and operational structure.

Jaser Zaabri studied at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, earning a bachelor’s degree with a double major in marketing and management. His academic focus included sales systems, leadership, and operations. These areas later became part of his approach when building and scaling businesses.

Jay further expanded his education through executive programs at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. During this time, Jaser strengthened his understanding of strategy, leadership, and organizational growth, preparing him for broader business responsibilities.

At the start of his professional career, he worked in international business development and advisory roles. In 2010, he was involved in transactions with members of the Qatari royal family. This experience gave him exposure to complex negotiations and international deal structures, helping him develop confidence in high-level business environments.

In the early 2010s, Zaabri began focusing on building his own ventures. Between 2011 and 2018, he founded several insurance restoration and general contracting companies under the Anderson Construction name. At the same time, he served in executive roles within the Anderson Family of Companies, a group providing disaster recovery and property restoration services across the United States.

These businesses focused on rebuilding homes and commercial properties affected by fires, floods, and other events. Through this work, Jaser gained hands-on experience in scaling operations, building teams, and managing high-volume projects. His involvement across different companies helped him develop a structured approach to operational growth.

Alongside his work in construction, Jay Zaabri also built experience in consumer products and global brand expansion. From 2012 to 2016, he served as VP of Sales and Marketing at XS Energy Drinks. In this role, he helped expand the brand into 38 countries and managed annual sales of nearly $150 million. His responsibilities included developing distributor networks, managing sales teams, and overseeing international logistics.

He also worked with MyPillow Inc. as an executive and board member, contributing to growth initiatives. In addition, he co-founded GarbageMan, which began as a green-focused company and later evolved into a waste management business that a larger organization acquired. These ventures expanded his experience beyond construction and deepened his understanding of scaling companies across different industries.

From 2017 to 2019, Zaabri served as Executive Vice President of Development and Distribution at Renpure Organics. During this period, he supported the expansion of the company’s retail presence across North America and into international markets. Renpure Organics was later acquired in 2018 by MAV Beauty Brands and Marc Anthony Cosmetics.

In 2022, Jaser founded Evolve Holdings to bring together multiple industries under a single operating and investment structure. The company manages businesses across construction and restoration, recruiting, training, property management, hospitality investment, and marketing analytics.

Other divisions include Evolve University, which provides sales and leadership training, and Evolve Recruiting, which supports companies in building effective teams. These efforts reflect Zaabri’s focus on combining operations with long-term business development.

Jaser Zaabri's career reflects a steady approach to building companies across industries. Through Evolve Holdings and its related businesses, he continues to focus on growth, operational improvement, and creating connections between markets in the United States and the Middle East.

Androsky Lugo

Androsky Lugo

Androsky Lugo, from Eastchester, NY, is an architect with advanced academic training in architecture and sustainable design. He began his professional journey at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Business degree in 2000. While his undergraduate education provided a strong foundation in strategy, management, and operations, Lugo soon recognized that his long-term interests aligned more closely with architectural design and the built environment.

Motivated by this realization, Lugo transitioned to Cornell University to pursue a Master of Architecture degree. He graduated with distinction from the program in 2002, demonstrating exceptional proficiency in architectural theory, structural systems, and design execution. Following his graduate studies, Lugo earned additional professional designations in Building Science and Technology and Environmental Systems, expanding his technical understanding of building performance and construction methodologies.

In 2003, Lugo returned to Cornell University to further his education in environmentally conscious building and design, strengthening his expertise in sustainable architecture and ecological integration. This advanced training marked a turning point in his career, laying the foundation for his long-term focus on environmentally responsible design practices.

Professional Experience and Major Projects

Over the course of his two-decade career, Androsky Lugo has participated in numerous high-level architectural projects across commercial, public, and civic sectors. His work reflects a consistent balance between engineering discipline, environmental responsibility, and functional design.

In 2012, Lugo collaborated closely with the San Francisco Historic Buildings Committee, contributing to the planning and renovation of multiple public service spaces. These projects required careful coordination between historic preservation requirements and modern usability standards, reinforcing Lugo’s ability to deliver contemporary solutions within complex regulatory and cultural frameworks.

A major milestone in Lugo’s career occurred in 2015, when he was commissioned by The Hagman’s Group of New York City to design and construct a building composed entirely of sustainable and recycled materials—a first-of-its-kind achievement at the time. This project positioned Lugo as an early leader in large-scale sustainable construction and demonstrated the real-world viability of environmentally responsible architecture.

During his tenure at Parkins and Rhodon, Lugo served as lead designer for a full-scale shopping center, contributed to the design of a multi-story house of worship, and worked extensively with local urban development teams to deliver affordable housing initiatives. These projects highlighted his ability to manage complex stakeholder environments while delivering architecture aligned with both community needs and structural performance standards.

Focus on Sustainable Architectural Design

While architectural design has always been central to Lugo’s career, his primary professional focus over the past decade has been environmental protection through sustainable architecture. He is widely regarded as an influential figure in green design circles for his ability to integrate ecological considerations into functional, scalable building solutions.

Lugo’s approach emphasizes the protection of natural habitats and water systems, thoughtful material selection, and architectural designs that work with the surrounding environment rather than against it. His work has contributed to a growing appreciation within the industry for buildings that seamlessly blend structural integrity with environmental stewardship.

Philanthropy and Community Engagement

In addition to his professional work, Androsky Lugo regularly provides pro-bono architectural services to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Homes for Veterans, and The Make It Right at Home Foundation. His commitment to community-focused architecture reflects a belief that design expertise should also serve broader social and humanitarian goals.

In 2015, Lugo founded the Architecture and Earth Awareness Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating architects, construction companies, and structural engineers on the importance of sustainable initiatives within the building industry. Since its inception, the foundation has helped promote environmentally responsible design principles across more than 400 large-scale projects worldwide.

Lugo is also deeply involved in climate protection efforts, frequently participating in fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and industry initiatives that support environmental sustainability.

Recognition and Industry Honors

Lugo’s philanthropic contributions and leadership in sustainable architecture have earned him widespread recognition. He has been named top contributor by the Homes for Veterans organization and received the Voice of Reason Award from the Green Initiative Climate Council, among numerous other honors.

In 2019, Lugo was nominated for the Pritzker Architecture Prize, one of the profession’s most prestigious recognitions. He was also nominated for the Architecture Master’s Prize in 2020 and went on to receive the Architectural Visionary Award in early 2021.

Professional Legacy

Through education, practice, philanthropy, and advocacy, Androsky Lugo has established himself as an architect whose work extends beyond individual projects. His career reflects a sustained commitment to architecture that is innovative, responsible, and aligned with the long-term health of both communities and the environment.
