His father worked as a lawyer at the Dhaka High Court. After completing his early education, he earned a degree in Business Studies from the University of Dhaka. While studying, he was also involved in athletics and various student activities.

A key milestone in his career was the establishment of East West Property Development (Pvt) Ltd., which soon gained recognition in the real estate sector. Known as Bashundhara Housing, the company established itself as a well-regarded name, marking the beginning of its broader business development.
