Brian Platt is Partner and Director of Public Policy for UMusic Hotels Development (UMHD), a real estate development company created in partnership with Universal Music Group. Before joining UMHD, Brian spent 12 years working in city government, most notably as City Manager for Kansas City, Missouri, and Jersey City, New Jersey. For 36 years, Jonathan has represented parties across a wide range of industries. His primary focus has been the reorganization and restructuring of private and public companies. Over the course of his career, he has advised hundreds of individual and corporate clients on debtor and creditor representation, workouts, recapitalizations, asset sales, and complex Chapter 11 proceedings.

In addition to insolvency matters, Pasternak has handled commercial real estate and finance transactions tied to distressed assets. His work has earned recognition from peers and professional organizations. In 2017, Jonathan was named YJP Professional of the Year for his contributions to restructuring and insolvency efforts.
