APJMJ Sheik Dawood is actively engaged in architecting cloud-based solutions and AI-driven applications for enterprise customers. He has a distinguished career that began as a Software Engineer at the Supercomputer Education and Research Centre (Indian Institute of Science), where he gained extensive experience in conceiving, planning, and developing world-class software packages as part of a globally distributed team of engineers.

Sheik contributed significantly to the prestigious Million Books Project, earning international recognition for his efforts. He also gained valuable international experience at Carnegie Mellon University during the summers of 2003 and 2004, where he worked as a Research Assistant in Natural Language Technologies.

In 2013, Sheik was invited by Farmers Insurance, USA, to architect a Usage-Based Insurance mobile application. He played a pivotal role in designing the application, introducing digital innovation by leveraging user behavior data to optimize insurance premium rates.

Sheik also spearheaded the establishment of an Enterprise Mobile Ecosystem at Tata Motors. He was instrumental in forming the Enterprise Mobile Application Development Team, a digital initiative that provided leadership with critical insights to enhance vehicle sales and delivery processes.

Sheik holds an M.Tech in Computer Science from SASTRA University. He is also the Co-Founder of the APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation.

As Mission Director, Sheik led the launch of 100 femto satellites using a balloon, involving 1,800 students, including 1,000 underprivileged participants. His ability to integrate the efforts of the Government of India, educational institutions, schools, and private organizations toward a common goal was widely appreciated, including recognition from the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

In 2018, Sheik was invited to deliver a lecture on Dr. Kalam’s Vision 2020 for National Development at the Delhi Assembly.
