I am Tracy Viergela Pierre, a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a 500-hour certified yoga instructor through the renowned Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, the world’s oldest yoga institute. As the founder of YITDOTS YOGA.

The Heart of YITDOTS YOGA

YITDOTS YOGA , which stands for "Yoga Is The Dance Of The Soul," isn't just a practice; it's a heartfelt mission to bring healing and empowerment to everyone. We combine traditional yoga practices with the vibrant, rhythmic movements of Afro-Caribbean dance, crafting a therapeutically meditative dance that nurtures both body and soul. This blend offers a beautiful path to mindfulness through movement, making wellness accessible to all who seek to release emotional and physical disquiet.

YITDOTS YOGA: Yoga is the Dance of the Soul

One of my most memorable experiences was teaching YITDOTS YOGA to disadvantaged and marginalized children in Haiti. There, I combined traditional yoga with dance yoga, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of movement and mindfulness.

Teaching in Taipei, Taiwan

In Taipei, Taiwan, I had the honor of teaching yoga and meditation to young Buddhist children and their parents at the temple. This experience deepened my sense of community and cultural connection, bringing peace and joy to all involved.

Yoga in the Natural Beauty of India

Another cherished memory is from India, where I took yoga classes in a nature-filled park, surrounded by playful monkeys jumping from tree to tree. These organic sessions, conducted on makeshift mats, were a unique blend of nature and practice. Even from the U.S., I continue these classes online, maintaining bonds of friendship that transcend borders.

A Year of Silence in Haiti

In 2021, I embarked on a year of silence in Haiti, traveling through eight of the country's ten departments. Despite the country's insecurity and the assassination of its president, I found a deep sense of reflection and transformation. I learned that silence does not negate the ability to communicate and influence, as I remained connected to my daughter and mother through technology. This period taught me the profound impact of intentions and body language, revealing that communication goes beyond words. The experience, long-awaited after my daughter Harmony Divine went off to college, was both challenging and enlightening, reinforcing my commitment to mindfulness and self-discovery. To stay informed to current events in Haiti, I regularly tune into radio stations these two stations, Eritye Papa Desalin and Haiti Our Revolution Continues, which provide accurate and insightful news from a Haitian progressive perspective.

Living in Atlanta, Georgia

Currently, I reside in the Atlanta, Georgia area, a vibrant city known for its thriving real estate market and booming film industry. Atlanta offers a wealth of opportunities for both personal and professional growth. Dr. Neal F. Hambright is a recognized consultant and expert in human resource management, organizational behavior management, and human capital management. A native of Detroit, MI, Dr. Hambright has over a decade of dedicated experience in the public and private sector. Jeremy specializes in tourism & recreation economics, visitor use management, regional economic analysis, as well as survey development, deployment, and analysis. He brings more than ten years of post-Ph.D. experience in socioeconomic-based actionable research. As an economic geographer by training, he approaches his projects through a lens of all things being connected through space; whether this is through the sharing of physical land or economic interdependency.

Jeremy currently leads multiple projects under the National Park Service’s nationwide socioeconomic research contract, including those that seek to place economic and social value on lands, and wildlife. Additionally, he leads projects involving Market Assessment and Planning of tourism and recreation regions, assets, and investments.

Prior to coming to RRC in 2022, Jeremy led the Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research at the University of Montana, where he directed annual projects to estimate statewide visitor spending and profiles, as well as an assortment of niche tourism studies. He also spent time as the Associate Director of the Freight Policy Transportation Institute at Washington State University, conducting infrastructure investment studies for several State Departments of Transportation and the USDA.

Jeremy holds an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. (Economics, Geography, and Rural Sociology) from Washington State University, an M.S. in Human Dimension of Ecosystem Science and Management from Utah State University, and a B.S. in Ecology from Washington State University. Jeremy is a firm believer that research is ‘me-search’, thus his draw to all things outdoor recreation, living in Missoula, Montana, and 40+ triathlons.
