Currently recognized for his roles in significant projects such as "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3" (2023), "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" (2011), "Next Gen" (2018), and "Maya and the Three" (2021), Bruno has made his mark as a Hispanic-Canadian animator and director of camera units. His specialties include CG camera operations, photographic work in films, staging, storyboarding, classic illustration, and artistic drawing, significantly enriching narratives in film and television.

Bruno's process revolves around detailed previsualization and visual storytelling development, which is essential in helping filmmakers craft captivating narratives. He has held key positions such as Second Unit Director of Camera/Previsualization for Netflix's "Next Gen" and Layout Supervisor at Tangent Animation, contributing to projects including "Disney Planes – Air Spectacular" and "Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade."

Bruno Amezcua continues his influential career as a Senior Previs Artist at The Third Floor studio in Los Angeles and as a Previs Supervisor at a videogame startup in Toronto. Beyond his professional endeavors, he dedicates time to developing his intellectual properties and crafting screenplays and character designs through storyboarding and cinematic editing.

MINGLING ENTERTAINMENT

This service is popular at receptions to help attendees break the ice. Jesse entertains 2-8 attendees at a time, up close, with highly personalized entertainment for 5-15 minutes. Then he moves on to the next small group, then another small group, and so on. Apart from receptions, it’s also common to perform at one table at a time, before or after dinner.


TEAM BUILDING SESSION

The team building activities last for approximately 150 minutes. Your team will bond as they learn entertainment routines, perform for each other, and celebrate each other’s success, while reinforcing the importance of collaboration and your company’s core values.

Prizes are given out, inclusion is encouraged, relationships are deepened, and problem-solving skills are honed. Communication skills are sharpened, and your team will feel like they’re on America’s Got Talent!


ENTERTAINMENT WITH A MESSAGE

This program starts off with the stage entertainment show. Jesse mentions that part of the stage show was accomplished by influencing their thoughts with words. Jesse announces that everyone will learn phrases that make them more connected with other people.

Next, each attendee is paired with 1 other attendee. Each pair of attendees will enact the role of people planning a vacation. The attendees laugh out loud as they discover how these newly learned phrases influence conversations.

Attendees will end this experience with communication tools that make them more persuasive and connected with people.

FRANK ABE is co-editor with Floyd Cheung of a new anthology, THE LITERATURE OF JAPANESE AMERICAN INCARCERATION, coming May 14, 2024, from Penguin Classics. He is lead author of a graphic novel, WE HEREBY REFUSE: Japanese American Resistance to Wartime Incarceration (Chin Music Press, 2021), and with collaborators Tamiko Nimura, Ross Ishikawa, and Matt Sasaki was named a Finalist in Creative Nonfiction for the Washington State Book Award. He won an American Book Award with Cheung and Greg Robinson as co-editor of JOHN OKADA: The Life & Rediscovered Work of the Author of No-No Boy (University of Washington Press), in which he authored the first-ever biography of Okada and traced the origins of his novel. He is currently developing a new stage adaptation of NO-NO BOY in partnership with the Seattle Rep.

Abe wrote, produced, and directed the award-winning PBS documentary Conscience and the Constitution on the largest organized resistance in the camps, and with writer Frank Chin helped organize the first-ever “Day of Remembrance” in Seattle in 1978. He was an original member of Chin’s Asian American Theater Workshop in San Francisco and studied at the American Conservatory Theater.

Lena Chen

Lena Chen (she/her) is an artist and Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley in the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. Her scholarship examines the figure of the Asian America woman as (Tiger) Mother and Whore. Her work appears in the edited volumes Curating as Feminist Organizing (Routledge, 2022), Sex Work Now (NYU Press, forthcoming), and To Be Named (Routledge, forthcoming). She has taught classes on feminist theory, performance art, and socially engaged art. As an artist, she has exhibited, performed, and screened her work internationally. She has been awarded grants and residencies from Mozilla Foundation, Sundance Institute, Millay Colony for the Arts, Center for Cultural Power, Burning Man Global Arts Fund, Office of Public Art, and others. Currently, she is hosting community workshops on AAPI sexuality to devise a collective performance as part of her practice-based research.

She is a co-founder of JADED, the largest AAPI arts and cultural platform in Western Pennsylvania, and a founding member of MATERNAL FANTASIES, an interdisciplinary collective of mothers/artists and their children. She coordinates the Performing Asian American and Diasporic Sexualities working group at UC Berkeley’s Center for Race & Gender.
