How about I just copy my LinkedIn sentence: Champion for Women in Technology | Curious Conversationalist | Neurospicy Leader | Constant Student | New Podcaster | Tech Operations Enthusiast | Retired Photographer | Hufflepuff Always:

Hi I am Amanda and I hate writing these things - I don't really want to talk about me - I always want to learn more about others and help wherever I can. If you must know about me: I am 50% owner of an MSP in Ontario, Canada which I run with my husband Bryan. I am in Operations and take care of "Managing" the managers and amongst a lot of other random things - I deal with the process side of things. That being said in guiding our managers I am often a resource to translate human behaviour and come up with people solutions that help bridge gaps. I have been told by my own staff (not my words) that I am a bold and confident leader that's great at hard conversations but I guess that means I am probably just good at pretending that I am. After 15+ years as a wedding photographer (a high demand job that requires an incredible amount of diplomacy), a career in customer service and a degree in social work my skills usually lie in finding common ground and understanding and then deploying solutions that match. I have no idea how much of this you will use but if you have to know personal things about me I also have two kids, and am an avid reader. I have always loved technology but was told at a young age that it "wasn't for girls" but way down the line I ended up here anyways. I have a podcast dedicated to informing admin personnel that work in technical spaces about technical topics to help them feel less lost and then I also run a not for profit dedicated to teaching young girls (6-12) about STEM related topics. We build robots, program microduino, make lava lamps, test engineering theories, and really the list goes on for all the creative stuff we get up to. What I am really doing is trying to create a culture of curiosity surrounding STEM for girls in a safe space while also empowering them to be more confident. If you are wondering how I have time for all of this - as I mentioned above I am neurospicy aka have ADHD and having many things on the go is the norm for me. ( FYI if you accept me to speak - please don't use this as my actual bio - El has offered to rewrite it for me and I feel like she will be fantastic at that)

Originating from India, he ascended through the ranks of academia to graduate from one of the premier management schools in the country. His career trajectory has seen him embrace roles at several vital global institutions, navigating through numerous pivotal transitions within the industry. Alongside his professional commitments, he is an enthusiastic musician and traveler, embracing the dynamic lifestyle of his adopted city, New York.

His academic journey began in Chennai, India, where he pursued Commerce at the collegiate level. He distinguished himself early on by qualifying as a chartered accountant and achieving top ranks nationally in all three exams, a testament to his proficiency equivalent to that of a certified public accountant in the US. Seeking to expand his expertise, he later acquired an MBA focusing on finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. This period was crucial for developing his strategic thinking and collaborative skills, enriched by interactions with diverse peers.

Mistry's professional path was initiated at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo in 2003, where he was part of the Interest Rate Strategies Team. This role marked his first foray into the global financial arena, offering him extensive exposure to complex financial instruments and a new cultural milieu. He transitioned to Lehman's New York office in 2005, where he made significant strides in managing a diverse portfolio involving US Government Bonds and Interest Rate Derivatives until 2008, gaining a solid reputation among some of the largest US financial institutions.

Following the upheaval of the 2009 financial crisis, Mistry successfully pivoted to a new role at Morgan Stanley, engaging deeply with the oil trading sector. There, he was instrumental in shaping analytics for the firm's US gasoline and diesel operations and ventured into trading physical and paper gasoline. This experience notably deepened his analytical capabilities and client engagement strategies.

In 2014, Mistry embarked on a significant tenure with Freepoint Commodities as their chief Oil analyst. Over nearly a decade, he significantly enhanced their analytical frameworks, particularly in integrating alternative data post-COVID. He broadened his expertise to include renewable fuels and feedstocks—critical areas in the evolving energy landscape.

On a personal level, Mistry has been a New Yorker since 2005, thoroughly integrating into the city's vibrant and diverse culture. His leisure time is often spent with his guitar, exploring musical landscapes, reading about politics and non-fiction, and traveling to explore global cultures and natural wonders.

Kurush Mistry's venture into film production in 2009, where he co-produced a feature film in New York, exemplifies his willingness to explore creative and entrepreneurial endeavors beyond his professional domain. Mistry is also dedicated to philanthropy, actively supporting causes related to hunger, refugees, legal aid, and environmental protection. Recently, he has devoted time to volunteering with organizations focused on caring for older people and minimizing food waste.
