Larry Sharpe

Larry Sharpe

Larry Sharpe (L) is a Bronx native, a Marine Corps veteran, an entrepreneur, and a management consultant with 15 years of experience mentoring international executives, entrepreneurs & sales people. He is also a teacher, previously serving as a guest instructor for business management and leadership at institutions such as Yale University, Columbia University, Baruch College and John Jay College. He is now running for Governor of New York in order to make education more effective through innovation, reform the criminal justice system to focus on rehabilitation, and build an economy that works for all of New York State.
The Three Pillars of Larry Sharpe’s Platform:
Economy:
Roll back regulations that stifle innovation and hurt small businesses, including regulations on blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, and the Bit-Licensing that is hindering economic and technological growth in the state, bringing more jobs and revenue to the people of New York.
Cut unnecessary spending by reducing or eliminating unfunded mandates, which will allow the state to help struggling New Yorkers by cutting property taxes and eliminating income tax.
Create real revenue raisers that are not tax based. Encourage innovation in business as the Marketer-in-Chief.

Education:
Free teachers to develop curriculum that focus on skills employers need.
Introduce more options to education by exploring innovative alternatives like K-10 programs, vocational training, and more school choice.
Allow communities to decide what works best in their school district.

Criminal Justice:
Give second chances and support to non-violent offenders who still have a chance to be productive members of society, thereby reducing prison populations.
Lowering the prison populations will allow for more specialized rehabilitation through educational and vocational training, which can reduce recidivism.
Allow Law Enforcement Officers to fight real crimes and help real victims by not enforcing laws that make criminals (like simple possession), in which there is no victim.

In addition to these three platforms, Larry Sharpe and his team have researched and developed policies relating to agriculture, immigration, infrastructure, budget reform, energy, unions, pension, medicaid, and much more. All of these policies have one thing in common: Larry Sharpe wants to empower the people of New York State to be free and innovative, bringing growth to our communities and prosperity to our state

"Projects change the lives of others!"

is my motto in project management. As a project manager, I leave - when the product is taken over in the company - the users are left behind.

We have different needs every person, every day and everywhere. I love change and diversity, organization and team spirit. I can find that in project management and as a coach for project managers and companies. I like to give security and a vision during change. If it doesn't go according to plan A – then there is always a plan B. Taking the team and, above all, the users who appreciate their security and their processes on board is one of the biggest, most beautiful challenges of my job.

How do I work?

I am a self-employed program manager, assessor, lead ecological trainings and sometimes I can also be found as a medium mountain guide, tap dancer and entertainer. With over 20 years of experience, I have the experience in business to pass on my heart's affairs as an assessor and coach.

Where do I come from?

Europe is my home. After graduating from high school in Freiberg, I went to Ireland for 3 years – without a return flight. There I did an apprenticeship in media production and then decided to study mathematics – universal, analytical, associative, fantastic and a lot of fun. This was followed by years abroad - Norway, India, Spain, Switzerland, France and projects in more than 15 different countries. I was able to learn a lot in the process.
Today I live in Europe, part-time in Germany, part-time in countries with mountains – and finally speak 4 languages fluently – a childhood dream.

What am I telling?

In my sessions, I like to take the audience on a mountain tour. My passion for nature and the mountains gives me a balance to everyday computer life and many interesting parallels. Together we look into the heart of project management - risk, stakeholders, goals, environment, change - tools do not exist for themselves, but to benefit the project and the people.
