Over the last decade she has done the work to return to the Indigenous Muisca roots on the Colombian side of her family. As she peeled back layer upon layer of assimilation. she wanted to teach others, allies and reconnecting Natives. how to do the same as a form of capitalist resistance.

Rosa was trained in the popular education model when she was a union organizer with the labor movement. She is also a worker owner in the all female BIPOC Access Cooperative as a language justice educator, Spanish language interpreter, and grant writer. Rosa does #freepalestine and decolonization work with the Queer Mikveh Project and is a certified Mikveh Guide and racial justice partner to Mayyim Hayyim Living Waters in Newton, MA. Malissa Phung is honoured and privileged to live and work as an uninvited guest on the territories of the Huron-Wendat, Mississauga, Haudenosaunee, and Anishinaabe peoples. She is a second-generation settler descendant of Sino-Vietnamese refugees who have resettled on the territories of the Néhiyawk (Cree), Dene, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Nakoda (Stoney), and Anishinaabe (Ojibway/Saulteaux). She is a full-time teaching stream professor in the School of Communication and Literary Studies at Sheridan College (Ontario, Canada), where she teaches Communications, Composition & Rhetoric, Life Writing, Popular Literature and Culture, and Cultural Studies. Her scholarship develops a transnational and comparative approach to the study of Asian North American Literature that draws on theoretical analytics of Diaspora, Postcolonial, Critical Race, and Indigenous Studies. Her current manuscripts in progress include a new life narrative "[excerpts from fleeing catastrophe]" and two academic book projects: 1) Memorializing Chinese Exclusion: The Racial Capitalist and Settler Politics of Commemorating Chinese Labour in Canada; and 2) Making Kinship: Remembering and Honouring Relations of Indebtedness in Indigenous and Asian North American Literature.

Mike Torreano is a multiple award-winning author of historical fiction and traditional western mysteries set primarily in the Colorado and New Mexico Territories. In the fifth grade he read his first Zane Grey novel and has been hooked on the Old West ever since.
His debut western mystery, The Reckoning, was released in 2016 by The Wild Rose Press and the sequel, The Renewal, was released in 2018. Both are set in South Park, just west of the front range. He’s just released the third in the South Park series, The Return.
An interest in the Goodnight-Loving cattle trail inspired his first stand-alone western, A Score To Settle, which was set on that trail and came out in 2020.
A friend’s suggestion prompted Mike to write a second stand-alone western mystery, White Sands Gold, which was released by The Wild Rose Press in September 2022. It has received five literary awards.
His first historical novel, Fireflies at Dusk, is a multiple award-winning, coming-of-age tale about a young man torn between his pacifist family and his urge to fight against slavery as the Civil War breaks out.
Mike is a trustee of the Western Museum of Mining and Industry and belongs to several western organizations. He also speaks at clubs and organizations about the timeless values of the Old West and The Code of the West, and how those values are still relevant today.
