Kityo Martin is a Ugandan technology lawyer and legal researcher working on data protection and digital rights in East Africa. He co-authored, with Bigabwa Daisy, the Uganda chapter of A Strategic Guide to Data Protection and Privacy in East Africa (DPO Privacy Centre East Africa, 2026), which compares the laws of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, and heads the organisation's Data Protection and Cybersecurity Risk Desk. He is co-founder of JurisPilot, a legal research firm focused on technology law, data privacy and digital rights in the region. His research on privacy in digital lending was ranked the second-best research submission at the Privacy Symposium Africa. He won the 2023 Unwanted Witness Privacy Moot Court Competition, where he was named best oralist, and now judges the Jessup and Unwanted Witness moots. Enitan leads the team at NESII, to develop high-quality, relevant global advocacy and training tools and resources around disability rights and appropriate communication and interaction language for Persons With Disabilities leads advocacy. Under her leadership, NESII has reached 9,972 young people across 20 communities and, with HSSN Africa, birthed the GirlPower Programme addressing gender-based violence and disability rights. As technical partners on the GirlPower Project, NESII is currently running a one-year mentorship for 300 girls at Ideal and Obele High Schools, Lagos, through inter-generational dialogues and mentorship sessions.
