He is the recipient of the Saint-Gobain Transparence Grant for DebrisCrete, a hyper-local material solution developed using construction and demolition waste and agricultural residues. He also received the Nirmal Dhingra Trust Scholarship for his bamboo joinery innovation, developed through his research on assembly-based temporary structures. His work has been exhibited and presented across platforms including the London Design Festival, Serendipity Arts Festival, BLR Hubba, and other cultural, ecological, and design-led contexts. Alongside his studio practice, Bharat is developing a worldbuilding curriculum that brings together architecture, climate fiction, systems thinking, storytelling, and spatial design. He also conducted India’s first Worldbuilding Hackathon at École Intuit Lab, Calcutta, positioning worldbuilding as a practical design method for imagining and prototyping futures that are contextually grounded, materially aware, and socially transformative.
