Jill Shortreed is a business strategist, speaker, educator, and founder of Fable & Firm Co. Long before “mompreneur” became a hashtag, she was building businesses while raising five children.

Over more than 25 years, Jill built what became the largest retail balloon shop in North America, taught business and industry education for more than a decade, and served as Director of Education for a leading balloon manufacturer.

Then, in her late 50s, Jill found herself rebuilding her career and creating a new chapter from the experience she had spent decades earning. That season shaped the message at the heart of her work: starting over is not the same as starting from scratch.

Jill speaks on business strategy, resilience, reinvention, women in business, and making the right next move when life or business changes unexpectedly. Her talks combine real stories, practical strategy, and honest lessons from building, leading, losing, and rebuilding. Audiences leave with more than inspiration—they leave knowing what to do next.

I am a Senior Data Integration Engineer and independent researcher specializing in the intersection of artificial intelligence and supply chain management. With over seven years of experience architecting enterprise data platforms and integration solutions, I have helped global organizations across logistics, healthcare, and technology transform fragmented operational data into reliable foundations for planning and forecasting decisions.
