She was raised in Tkaronto and has spent the past decade learning, organizing, and teaching in occupied Hawaiʻi. Katherine has areas of specialization in environmental justice, critical ecology studies, diaspora, gender and sexuality, and Critical Indigenous Studies/Indigenous feminisms. Her ongoing research examines the transnational history of North American mining on her ancestral homelands in Surigao, focusing on the insurgent ecological responses of Surigaonon communities at home and in diaspora. Muogbo Dominic Chibuike is a passionate and research-driven geoscientist with a B.Sc. in Geological Sciences from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Second Class Upper). His interests span seismic interpretation, reservoir characterization, sequence stratigraphy, and the application of AI/ML in geoscience. Dominic has published over 10 peer-reviewed articles, including works on groundwater contamination, seismic stratigraphy, and the future of AI in reservoir modeling. He was a member of the NAU AAPG Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) 2025 team and has participated in advanced software training workshops including Petrel workflows. A recipient of the SEG/Threet and Enders Robinson Scholarships, Dominic is a member of NAPE, AAPG, and SEG.
