Born and raised in upstate New York, Anna Cummings (she/her) is a senior at the University of Colorado (CU) Boulder with majors in linguistics and speech, language and hearing sciences, as well as a minor in music and a certificate in cognitive science. For three years she has worked at the CU Environmental Center in the residential sustainability program, Sustainable Buffs in the Neighborhood. For two and a half of those years, she’s been the student team lead for the program, with responsibilities such as completing hiring, carrying out training for new hires, distributing the team’s EcoVisit sign ups, preparing agendas, and acting as a resource for employees within the program. As Senior Sustainability Manager, Caroline oversees the development of strategic outreach and engagement programs and communication campaigns to increase visibility of Temple’s climate commitment, improve literacy on critical sustainability and environmental justice issues, and build the capacity of the students, staff, and faculty to support the university's sustainability efforts. She coordinates and facilitates the implementation of the university's climate action plan and campus sustainability initiatives and assists in institutional reporting.

Prior to joining the Office of Sustainability, Caroline worked as an electoral and advocacy organizer and political campaign strategist, most recently serving as the Pennsylvania State Director of Defend Our Future, the campus climate action organizing project of the Environmental Defense Fund. Caroline graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Sociology and a B.A. in American Studies in 2014.

Rachael Rost-Allen, Ed.D., is the Sustainability Education and Engagement Coordinator at Johnson County Community College (JCCC), where she partners with faculty, staff, and students to integrate sustainability into curriculum and campus initiatives. Since joining JCCC in 2023, Rachael has played a key role in expanding sustainability programming, including designing and launching the college’s Sustainability Distinction Program and co-leading JCCC’s first achievement of AASHE STARS Gold. Rachael also serves as a co-advisor for the Student Sustainability Committee and teaches as an adjunct professor at JCCC and Southern New Hampshire University.
