Started working in Mobile industry since 2005 as editor-in-chief of Ukrainian web portal dedicated to smartphones and PDAs. Then headed European HP iPAQ Choice project and worked with Opera and LG mobile app stores.

In 2008 returned to engineering as Qt developer. Earned Qt Certified Developer, Nokia Champion and Qt Ambassador statuses, won number of app contests by Intel and Nokia. Developed for Windows Mobile, Maemo, Meego, Symbian. Also worked on iOS native and HTML5 mobile apps as an engineer.

In 2012 started using Xamarin (Mono*) to make apps for iOS/Android. Played all possible roles in software development: product owner, manager, UI/UX designer, developer, QA engineer, lead, etc. Totally participated in more than 60 commercial mobile/embedded/cloud projects as an engineer of all levels for USA, European and Russian companies.

Katherine Achacoso (she/her/sija) is a queer daughter of the Filipinx and Surigaonon diasporas. She was raised in Tkaronto and has spent the past decade learning, organizing, and teaching in occupied Hawaiʻi. Katherine has areas of specialization in environmental justice, critical ecology studies, diaspora, gender and sexuality, and Critical Indigenous Studies/Indigenous feminisms. Her ongoing research examines the transnational history of North American mining on her ancestral homelands in Surigao, focusing on the insurgent ecological responses of Surigaonon communities at home and in diaspora.
