Adriana Kugler is an American economist and a Full Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy and Economics at Georgetown University. During her more than 15 years at the university, she has served in several leadership roles, including Vice Provost for Faculty from 2013 to 2016. In that position, she worked to improve the Promotion and Tenure process, expanded faculty development through an NSF grant supporting women in STEM, redesigned new faculty orientation, and helped establish a new framework for non-tenure-track faculty.

Dr. Kugler served as Governor of the Federal Reserve Board from September 2023 to August 2025 after being nominated by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate. During that time, she participated in several Board committees, served as a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, and represented the Board at the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies. She also delivered speeches on inflation, monetary policy, employment, expectations, and housing while visiting 10 of the 12 Federal Reserve districts and meeting with communities across the country.

From 2022 to 2023, Dr. Kugler served as the U.S. Executive Director of the World Bank. In that role, she supported efforts to strengthen multilateral development institutions with a focus on climate change, pandemics, conflict, food security, education recovery, and opportunities for women and underrepresented groups. Her contributions were recognized with the Chase Award from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Kugler co-founded and served as Co-Director of the International Summer Institute on Policy Evaluation from 2010 to 2013. She also served as Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Labor from 2011 to 2013. Before joining Georgetown University, she held faculty positions at the University of Houston and the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where her research focused on labor markets, policy evaluation, payroll taxes, employment protections, occupational licensing, unemployment, and immigration.

I’m a NYC-based professional actor, improv comedian, and adjunct instructor. I’ve appeared in theatres all over the country performing in everything from Shakespeare to Neil Simon to Shrek: The Musical. You may have even seen me dancing in my underwear on One Tree Hill or co-starring in commercials with NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon or the Roaming Gnome. Improv comedy is my passion and I can be seen making audiences, my scene partners, and myself laugh regularly at some of the best and worst improv shows in New York City.

As an educator, I have taught Acting, Improvisation, Public Speaking, Communication Studies at too many colleges to mention. I also teach and coach acting, improv, and applied improv for theatres, private groups, and individuals, and in the corporate space.

Mark Kithinji is a software engineer and co-founder of an AI-driven agriculture platform focused on improving decision-making for farm managers across African contexts. His work centers on building production systems under real-world constraints, including limited infrastructure, incomplete datasets and strict cost ceilings.

He has led the development of data-driven and cloud-based solutions ranging from high-concurrency web platforms to machine learning systems tailored for smallholder agriculture. Mari Anne’s housing career began in 1999 as a resident advisor for a privately-owned residence hall on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus. She joined University Housing in 2004 and has held a variety of roles with an eye toward student service during her 22 year tenure. As the director of Housing Information & Marketing, she leads residence hall occupancy management, marketing, communications, and assessment. In addition, Mari Anne champions strategic initiatives to support both students and staff who call University Housing home. Most recently she partnered with other housing executives to implement a culture & climate action plan focusing on staff support structures and developing the next level of strategic leaders in University Housing. Mari Anne received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication & Political Science and a Master of Education with an emphasis in Leadership: Training & Development from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
