My early career saw me working as a software engineer and technical leader across multiple startups. But it was my passion for education that led me to devote the last 5+ years to reimagining how we teach people to code professionally.

Over the last half decade I have had the opportunity to work in the NGO space and build alternative education systems from the ground up. Along the way I have learned a lot about how to teach well, how to build systems that teach well, and how traditional education systems fall short.

Now, my primary aim is to spread skills to educators. To empower those who empower others.

I lead the Guild of Educators, a community I founded to empower tech educators through shared resources, support, and evidence-based teaching practices. Additionally, I run Prelude, where I provide rigorous technical training, as well as consultation, and coaching for technical educators, and organisations with education functions (for example grad programs and similar).

I’ve always believed that real change starts from the ground up. The problems we see around us—children deprived of education, youth struggling for opportunities, voices going unheard—won’t fix themselves. If we don’t step up, who will?

I still remember the evening that changed something in me. I was in 6th grade, out for dinner with my family, when I saw a boy—probably even younger than me—cleaning tables, picking up leftover food from the ground, and later, washing dishes in the open in chilling winter, all by himself. I just...didn't really knew at that time that this is also something that happens in this world. We were both just kids, but our worlds couldn’t have been more different. I was sitting comfortably with my family, talking about school and dreams, while he was working late into the night, carrying a weight no child should have to bear.

That night, I couldn’t shake the thought—why is life so unfair for some? And more importantly, why do we just accept it as normal? I had always been drawn to debates and discussions about India’s future, but that was the moment I knew—I want to do something real. Not just talk, but act. So that kids like him get the education they deserve, the life they deserve. Because this? This is not the India our freedom fighters fought for.

Today, I’m on a journey to understand problems at their root and work towards real solutions. Whether it’s through policy making, leadership, or on-the-ground activism, I want to play my part in shaping an India where no child is left behind, and every young person has a chance to thrive.

Before I ever encountered Agile, I spent nearly a decade navigating the worlds of Project and Product Management, constantly problem-solving, managing competing priorities, and bumping up against the same frustrating patterns: legacy systems, outdated processes, and organizational cultures resistant to change. It often felt like great work was possible, but buried beneath layers of complexity and inertia.

Then, I discovered Agile, not just as a methodology but as a new way of seeing. Suddenly, what had felt immovable started to shift. Change no longer seemed like an abstract hope; it became accessible, actionable, and human. But that’s when the real work began.

Agile isn't just a set of practices; it's a language, mindset, and way of operating that challenges our deepest assumptions about control, predictability, and progress. Bringing that into organisations often felt like painting with watercolors on iron steel.

To cut through, I began creating visuals and frameworks that made complex concepts simple and abstract ideas tangible. This became a superpower: turning clarity into capability. That’s how The Agile Xpert was born. A platform dedicated to helping coaches and teams move beyond buzzwords to real, resonant transformation.

Today, I work as an enterprise agility coach and leadership consultant, partnering with senior leaders, teams, and organisations ready to rethink what’s possible. Anjali is a human rights and law of war attorney, speaker, athlete, and professional artist, who currently runs a nonprofit dedicated to combating gender-based violence. She is a TEDx speaker and Fulbright Scholarship grantee.

Anjali has worked at the intersection of women's rights, gender-based violence, art, and law in India, the U.K., Colombia, Brazil, and Chile. Her work as a lawyer includes representing foreign governments in human rights cases before international courts, achieving asylum for asylum-seekers persecuted on the basis of their gender, and working on Constitutional rights cases to protect the rights of transgender girl athletes in the U.S.

As an artist, Anjali explores themes of social justice through art. Her movement films have been nominated for several awards, including at the Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase, and Anjali has received a Bessie nomination for outstanding performer for her achievement in dance.

She is currently climbing the Seven Summits to amplify the voices and power of survivors, while building a coalition of organizations around the world. She's on track to be the first Indian-American woman to do so. The coalition she is building through this campaign will be part of the first ever global digital hub for survivors, advocates, and grassroots organizations combating gender-based violence to connect in real time, all the time.

Ms. Bhuvana Meenakshi is a Socio-Tech researcher, Founder of Women In Tech collectives, India and is also a Co-Founder of EmergeAbility. Women In Tech collectives, India is a group of Self Help women which she leads to organise and educate women communities from marginalized backgrounds in India. She also supports and advocates for the Neurodiverse communities who seek support for education and careers and also does global research to map support groups for the Neurodivergents under her initiative of EmergeAbility(https://www.emergeability.org/).
