Hello. I'm Tim. It has been a long strange trip to my becoming a motivational-inspirational speaker. I have always loved speaking with people either one-on-one or in groups. As an IT Professional for over 36 years, I have had to interact with many different types of people in many different industries doing many different things. I have spoken in church both informally and as a Lay Minister in the Methodist and Disciples of Christ denominations. I am also an Adjunct Instructor at a local community college and a local university.

I have always thought that my life was pretty normal. After I graduated from college and entered the "real world" I came to understand that my life had some twists and turns. I came to realize that I have suffered from depression and anxiety since childhood. It really didn't effect me until I became a father. I subconsciously decided to place my wife's happiness and my son's happiness before my own. When my son was almost 7, I had a mental break that caused me to seek help. I have learned, to a certain extent, what was causing mental issues and how to deal with them. I have had to seek help when things happened in my life to help make sense and be able to handle things well.

Recently my professional career has taken a downturn. I was working for a consulting company with government contracts. When government began reforming spending my contract was effected and I lost my position along with many of my colleagues. I expected to find another position but soon discovered that the IT market had changed and employers were very particular in what they were looking for. I do not have some of the experiences they are looking for and thus was not being consider for positions.

So I decided to pivot and focus and over skills I have. Namely speaking about my experiences in life, giving inspirational messages and helping people along with life. I also speak about spiritual matters and how they relate to society today.

Dr. Melissa Turkal is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner from Pittsburgh. She is faculty at Robert Morris University, where she teaches in the graduate PMHNP-DNP program. His award-winning scholarship employs queer of color critique to illuminate the complexities of intersectionality, racism-related stress, and identity among Asian Americans. Leveraging psychoanalytic concepts, his interdisciplinary research explores the evolving nature of anti-Asian racialization and its theoretical and clinical implications. Veronica started her forensic career in 2008. Veronica is also the Interim Programme Lead for Digital Forensics and Incident Response at Noroff University in Norway, where she replaced a warm climate with a more adventurous one. Veronica holds a Master in Science at Rhodes University in Information Security with a specialisation in the forensic analysis of malware. She is currently doing her PhD in cybersecurity at the University of Plymouth in the UK. Her PhD is about designing robust logs for medical devices. She prides herself on keeping patients safe, as this is something close to her heart (quite literally). She is also a cyborg, sporting an embedded medical device herself. She is also a DEF CON goon, and she is the founder of DC2751, and the OWASP Kristiansand project. She has a love for all things ransomware and understands the low level details forensically.

Her particular research interests include research into security vulnerabilities in medical devices forming part of the Internet of Things, and how these could be exploited by malicious attackers, as well as what types of forensic artefacts could be identified from any attacks. She believes that incident response should be something that is continuously done and improved on. She is extremely passionate about protecting people whose lives depend on these medical devices, and her passion led her to become a researcher within an MDM. She is also developing a digital forensics and incident response approach dealing specifically with implanted medical devices and medical devices installed within a healthcare setting. Tarini Prasad Samanta is a Chief Software Engineer with over 20 years of distinguished experience in embedded systems and medical device software development. Based in San Jose, California, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Utkal University in Orissa, India, earned in May 2003.
Since May 2014, Tarini has served as Chief Software Engineer at Abbott Labs, formerly St. Jude Medical, where he has made significant contributions to multiple Merlin Programmer projects, including Aveir, Nanostim, Merlin Support, and Remote Care operations. His expertise lies in the design and development of real-time embedded Linux, VRTX, and VxWorks-based medical device applications, as well as iOS-supported medical mobile applications.
