Like so many dentists across the U.S., he and his team found the process of managing dental claims to be filled with confusion and frustration, not to mention at times loss of income. And there was no one “source” to go to obtain accurate information.

As a military spouse, Trish has volunteered for 20 years supporting military families and veterans during deployments, relocations, separations, and challenges involving combat stress and PTSD. She continues to volunteer in her community and helped establish sensory-friendly movie showings that became a valued local program.

Melina Kibbe, MD became president of UTHealth Houston and assumed the Alkek-Williams Distinguished Chair in September 2025. Before this role, she served as a medical school dean and chief health affairs officer at a public academic institution. She is recognized nationally for her work in vascular surgery and previously served as chair of a department of surgery at a major university. Earlier in her career, she held senior research leadership roles within academic surgery and a multidisciplinary biomedical research institute. She earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago. She completed her internship, residency, and research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at Northwestern University. Her clinical practice includes open and endovascular procedures, and she is board-certified in general and vascular surgery with RVT and RPVI certifications.

Her research focuses on developing drug-eluting therapies for patients with vascular disease and examining how these treatments affect blood vessels. She has served as a principal investigator on research funded by several federal and national organizations. In addition, she has contributed as a co-investigator, consultant, or mentor on many other supported studies. She has held leadership roles in gene- and cell-based clinical trials for patients with critical limb ischemia and has guided trials in peripheral artery disease. Her work has resulted in more than ten patents or provisional patents. In 2009, her research contributions were recognized with a national early-career award for scientists and engineers.

She has held many leadership positions at the national level within academic surgery. She serves as editor-in-chief of a leading surgical journal and has previously been president of several professional surgical societies. She has also served in officer and committee leadership roles within major national organizations and remains actively involved in numerous professional groups. Her career accomplishments led to election into respected medical honor societies, including one of the nation’s highest advisory bodies in medicine.

She has also been a strong advocate for sex inclusion in biomedical research. Her publications examining sex bias in surgical research received national and international attention and led to interviews with major media outlets. He began his speaking career by honing his skills at Toastmasters, where his hard work resulted in the Toastmasters Competent Communicator Certificate.

As an accomplished author, Louis has penned two influential books, "Finding Love on the Spectrum: An ASD Guide to Dating" and "Autism: The Unstoppable Achiever."

Hailing from Old Forge, PA, Louis' early life was marked by challenges. Despite early challenges and hurdles during high school, he not only graduated from college but also forged a path of independence, holding various jobs, living on his own, and embarking on journeys that have taken him far and wide. Itendra Kumar Singh is a Software Engineer and Technical Leader with over 20 years of experience in enterprise software systems, automation engineering, system validation, cloud technologies, and data interoperability solutions. He currently serves as a Software Validation Engineer IV at LEIDOS Biomedical Research, supporting the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research under the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Mr. Singh has expertise in automation frameworks, enterprise system validation, cloud and distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, and data management technologies. Saideep Nakka is a systems-oriented medical device engineer with over a decade of experience leading the end-to-end development of complex robotic and navigation-assisted surgical systems. Currently serving as a Principal Systems Engineer at Medtronic, he has played a key role in driving full product lifecycle development from early-stage concept and Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to commercialization, ensuring safety, usability, and regulatory compliance across global markets.
Throughout his tenure at Medtronic, Saideep has led cross-functional engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to deliver high-complexity medical devices. His work includes system-of-systems integration, design optimization of surgical instruments and high-speed motors, and execution of validation strategies using advanced statistical methods. He has also contributed to FDA submissions and international regulatory approvals through rigorous testing, animal studies, and technical documentation.
Saideep’s earlier experience includes roles at Becton, Dickinson and Company, where he focused on test engineering, feasibility studies, and translating clinician needs into design requirements, and at IBM, where he supported mechanical design, quality engineering, and supplier management for enterprise systems.
