Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Health Affairs and CEO at the University of Virginia Health System.

In recognition of his work, Dr. Kent was inducted into the National Academy of Medicine. His national influence includes serving as President of the Society for Vascular Surgery, President of the Society of Surgical Chairs, and Chair of the American Board of Surgery. These roles highlight his contributions to clinical leadership and the education of future physicians.

The National Institutes of Health has continuously funded Craig Kent for over 30 years. He has chaired the NIH’s Surgery and Bioengineering study section and contributed to multiple grant review panels. His research spans molecular science and health system outcomes, with 360 peer-reviewed publications and 65 books and book chapters. His studies have appeared in leading journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association.

His editorial work includes service as editor or associate editor for the Annals of Vascular Surgery, Contemporary Surgery, and Haimovici’s Vascular Surgery. He has also held positions on editorial boards for numerous peer-reviewed journals, contributing to scholarly discourse across a broad range of surgical topics.

Craig Kent, MD, has been invited to speak at over 120 academic medical centers as a Visiting Professor or Keynote Speaker. During his time as CEO of UVA Health, the organization experienced notable growth. Annual revenue increased from $2.5 billion to $4.7 billion, and patient care delivery nearly doubled. Quality performance reached its highest levels in a decade, and staff satisfaction increased by more than 15 percent despite the broader challenges facing the healthcare industry during the pandemic and staffing shortages.

Under his leadership, UVA Health expanded statewide, acquiring three hospitals and a physician group in Northern Virginia, purchasing a large multi-specialty practice, and becoming a minority owner in a five-hospital system in Eastern Virginia. The UVA School of Medicine saw a $60 million increase in research funding, and Dr. Kent led the launch of the Paul and Diane Manning Institute of Biotechnology, scheduled to open in 2026.

He also played a critical role in philanthropy, helping UVA Health raise over $650 million toward a $1 billion campaign and tripling overall fundraising during his tenure. At Ohio State, he oversaw 2,100 faculty members and more than 1,200 physicians. His leadership resulted in the recruitment of over 400 faculty members, significant growth in NIH funding, the implementation of a faculty compensation plan, the development of new facilities, and annual fundraising efforts that collectively reached $200 million.

At the University of Wisconsin, Craig Kent led efforts that doubled the size and surgical volume of the Department of Surgery and improved its NIH ranking from 26th to 5th in the country. Following the merger of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospitals, he unified the vascular surgery programs at Columbia and Cornell, helping to establish one of the nation’s leading academic vascular surgery programs.

Numerous honors have marked Dr. Kent’s academic and clinical career. He served as an associate professor at Harvard Medical School and held professorships at Cornell, Columbia, the University of Wisconsin, Ohio State, and the University of Virginia. A wellbeing guide. Kira Buckley is an integrative medicine practitioner, writer, and ceremonial guide whose work sits at the intersection of somatics, ancestral intelligence, nervous system regulation, and cultural repair.
With a background as a former educator and over a decade of clinical and experiential work in acupuncture, herbal medicine, somatic therapy, and ritual facilitation, Kira speaks to what happens beneath behavior—where the body carries stories that language, systems, and family structures often fail to name.
Her talks explore themes such as:
The inherited costs of caretaking, productivity, and “being strong”
Rest as a physiological and cultural recalibration—not a luxury
How grief, burnout, and chronic symptoms are often signals of misalignment rather than pathology
Reclaiming authority from external validation, tradition, and transactional love
The body as a living archive of ancestral memory and future possibility
Kira is known for her grounded presence, sharp insight, and ability to translate complex somatic and spiritual concepts into language that is accessible, embodied, and actionable. She does not offer platitudes or performance healing—she invites people into honest self-contact, practical integration, and courageous choice-making.
Whether speaking to educators, healers, creatives, caregivers, or organizational leaders, Kira’s work leaves audiences with more than inspiration—it leaves them with permission and tools to live in deeper alignment with their bodies, boundaries, and truth.

Tiara Jamison

Tiara Jamison

Tiara Jamison is the Founder and CEO of AnnieGuard, a causal intelligence company focused on understanding the hidden systems that drive biological threats, disease, environmental risk, and complex human outcomes.

Her work centers on a simple but powerful idea: events do not happen randomly. Whether the outcome is a disease diagnosis, a public health crisis, an environmental disaster, or a system failure, there are underlying causes that can be reconstructed from the data that already exists.

Drawing on experience across Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, Tiara combines systems thinking, threat detection principles, artificial intelligence, and biological research to help organizations move beyond prediction and toward understanding why events happen.

After losing her mother, Annie, to sarcoma, Tiara founded AnnieGuard to challenge conventional approaches to disease detection and risk assessment. Today, her work explores how causal intelligence can be applied across healthcare, biological security, environmental systems, public safety, and critical infrastructure.

Tiara speaks on causal intelligence, biological and environmental threats, systems failure, healthcare innovation, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, resilience, and the future of decision-making in complex environments.

Beth McDonough

Beth McDonough

Beth McDonough is an author, keynote speaker, recovery advocate and reconstruction of life strategist.

She guides people through their lowest moments to rebuild what stands next after public collapse, when visibility is high, consequences are real, and the path forward is unclear.

Beth is a living case study in recovery, resilience and reconstruction. She occupies the space between catastrophe and comeback.

An investigative journalist for 30 years, Beth covered disasters until she became one. Two highly publicized DUIs. Fired twice. First by the newsroom, then by society. Her work speaks to people whose mistakes live online permanently.

Beth understands what it takes to recreate a life while the world watches, because she did the work on herself first. She is the case study. Alcohol took her down once, an invisible illness tried to again. The breakdown became her blueprint for showing others how to re-emerge structurally stronger than before, from the inside out, when willpower isn’t enough.

Beth shares an original message for audiences hungry for something stronger than motivation and more compassionate than discipline.

Beth developed the STILL STANDING™ method, a five-step framework that treats recovery & resilience like reconstruction projects for life AFTER impact. The approach is evidence-based, trauma-aware, shame-informed and pressure tested.

Before her collapse, Beth documented some of the most defining breaking news events of our time:
• 9/11 terrorist attacks
• Oklahoma City bombing
• I-35W Minneapolis bridge collapse
• Prince’s sudden death
• Escape of kidnapped teen Jayme Closs
• Civil unrest following George Floyd’s death in police custody: Beth was wounded by gunfire while reporting

Her work has appeared on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX News along with countless podcasts, newspapers, magazines and talk shows.

She’s earned multiple Emmy Awards, a national Edward R. Murrow Award, the prestigious duPont- Columbia Journalism Award for coverage of George Floyd’s death and the racial reckoning that followed.

Beth authored two memoirs, STANDBY and STILL STANDING, one book opens the wound. The second shows the rebuild. She's also been featured in a Lifetime documentary with survivor advocate Elizabeth Smart called, “Smart Justice: The Jayme Closs Case.”

Beyond the newsroom, Beth channeled her love for animals into owning a dog daycare before returning to journalism with renewed perspective.

Today, she lives in southern Utah desert surrounded by red rock mountains. Sharing life with her rescue weiner dog, she continues to tell stories about resilience, redemption, reinvention and reconstructing a life after a career spent in the fast lane.
