Prior to that, he was the head of litigation and managing partner for a law firm he started in 1986. Aro Dana Faeq, also known as AroKurd, is a 19‑year‑old Kurdish AI researcher and full‑stack developer based in Abu Dhabi. He founded AK Group, a tech education community training over 2,000 students, and created the Kurdish language‑learning app Kurdim and the medical assistance app Kurd‑Aid. Aro is an undergraduate at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and co‑led the effort to add Sorani Kurdish to Google Translate.
