Alec Cooley has worked in the recycling field for over three decades, most recently as a senior advisor with the recycling and waste bin manufacturer, Busch Systems. He began his career managing recycling and waste reduction programs for Cal Poly Humboldt University in Northern California for a decade. Alec went on to work for the National Recycling Coalition as a program manager for three years before joining the national office of Keep America Beautiful as director of recycling programs in 2009. Beginning my academic career in Mechatronics at TU Dresden, I discovered a profound interest in machine learning topics. This led me to explore its applications in medical technology during my thesis. Thomas graduated from TU Chemnitz. He joined AMD as Integration Engineer in 1996 and worked in AMD’s Development Center (Sunnyvale), AMD’s Fab25 (Austin) and AMD’s Fab30 in Dresden. After the spinoff of Globalfoundries, he worked as Manager for Technology and Integration in the BEOL. In 2015 he joined Fraunhofer IZM as R&D coordinator in advanced packaging. In 2023 Thomas accepted a position as Head of Metrology Wafer Business at Chipmetrics.
