Mi chiamo Elena Cossu e sono nata a Cagliari nel 1986.
Sin da giovane ho nutrito un forte interesse per le materie scientifiche e ambientali, che mi ha portata a scegliere il percorso di Ingegneria per l’Ambiente e il Territorio. Ho conseguito la laurea triennale presso l’Università degli Studi di Cagliari e la laurea specialistica presso il Politecnico di Torino.

Il trasferimento a Torino ha rappresentato un punto di svolta, offrendomi numerose opportunità internazionali sia all’interno del Politecnico sia presso università estere. Ho partecipato a un programma presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria di Minas Gerais, in Brasile, seguendo un corso sui biocombustibili realizzato nell’ambito di un accordo tra la Regione Piemonte e lo Stato di Minas Gerais. Successivamente ho svolto un periodo di studio presso la TU Delft, dove ho sviluppato la mia tesi sull’addolcimento dell’acqua.

La mia carriera professionale è iniziata nell’ambito Ambiente, Salute e Sicurezza (EHS/RSPP) fino al 2018, quando ho ampliato le mie competenze al mondo della qualità, prima in un contesto produttivo e successivamente—come avviene tuttora—nel settore Sales. Sia in ambito EHS sia nel mondo della qualità ho lavorato quotidianamente con i sistemi di gestione, diventati la lente attraverso cui leggere processi, responsabilità e miglioramento continuo. Sono strumenti che permettono di creare ordine e chiarezza, integrando requisiti normativi, organizzazione e persone.
