I have been collecting Spider-Man comic books and memorabilia for more than 50 years. My collection and stories of collecting have been featured in various media over the past two years. My emotional connection to the character is the hallmark of my collection. The emotional connection has been strengthened by many cool interactions with comic creators, other collectors, and a family who supports my hobby.

Dave Pabellon is a graphic designer. He constantly pursues endeavors that connect his graphic design practice with social empowerment through the studio and classroom environment. He has mentored and instructed in the non-profit sector (Marwen, Bayview Hunters Point Center of Art and Technology, and Project Osmosis), instructs at the university level (University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern University, SAIC, and University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana), and lectures infrequently for professional design institutions and organizations (AIGA's Design for Democracy, and University & College Designers Association).

In 2020, while recovering from a back injury, realized needed a career actually liked. Since I've always loved live music, jumped into live audio engineering and learned through college classes, union work, and IATSE training. Within 2 years of joining the union I worked as A1 at The Conrad Performing Arts Center, where I learned a ton on the CL5 and got to mix artists like Grammy winner Cecile McLorin Salvant and Jay Leno. Surprisingly, Mariachi shows ended up being some of my favorites-mostly because the crowd loves a ton of reverb.
