Bertrand œuvre dans le domaine du numérique depuis le début des années 2000. Il a récemment occupé le rôle de responsable de produits numériques dans une grande entreprise d'assurances et d'investissement. Auparavant, il a occupé les postes de développeur « full-stack », de chargé de projets, de directeur et a travaillé en recherche et en enseignement à l'École de design de l'Université Laval à Québec. Diplômé en intégration multimédia et en sciences humaines profil psychologie et sociologie, il tente de combiner ses intérêts et d'évangéliser le design sous toutes ses formes en créant et en s'impliquant dans des communautés telles que Design Québec, le (feu) Web à Québec, Service Design Network et anciennement Interface - Québec.
