In seinen Forschungsprojekten beschäftigt er sich vor allem mit Themen der digitalen Medienkompetenz (Digital Literacy) im Allgemeinen, sowie der KI-Kompetenz (AI Literacy) als spezifischerem Untersuchungsgegenstand. Neben der Forschung zur Messbarkeit von AI Literacy interessiert er sich auch für experimentelle Designs, in denen die pädagogische Wirksamkeit von KI-basierten Lernwerkzeugen evaluiert wird.
