During his early years as a lawyer, he specialized in representing clients in ship financing deals while guiding offshore and renewable energy companies.

Growing up, Devandran experienced a loving and joyful childhood. His mother, a talented chef specializing in authentic Southeast Asian cuisine, and his father, a headmaster at an international school, created a nurturing home environment. Singapore is home to a large extended family with whom Devandran maintains strong connections.
