Mis orígenes son la Física Experimental, concretamente la Astrofísica. Esta fue mi pasión durante muchos años por lo que cursé estudios de doctorado con la intención de dedicarme a la investigación.

Finalizado este período continué con otra de mis grandes pasiones, la ingeniería de software y datos. En ella he estado desde hace más de 25 años, desempeñando labores principalmente de arquitecto de sistemas y aplicaciones.

En los últimos 11 años tengo el placer de trabajar en un ámbito apasionante y prometedor: las transformaciónes data-driven. En este periodo he estado vinculado a los ecosistemas de innovación y emprendimiento en los que afronté durante 3 años el reto de crear y liderar una startup.

Desde 2015 he desempeñado el role de Head of Data, Analytics & AI en diferentes consultoras globales. Jannis is a first-year PhD. student jointly between the Computational Systems Biology group at IBM Research in Zurich and the Machine Learning for Computational Biology group at ETH Zurich.
