At Evolving Web, Maya serves as Lead of Community & Employee Experience, where she blends strategy and empathy to shape both external engagement and internal culture. She manages the content and marketing team, leads the agency’s presence at industry conferences, oversees community partnerships, and ensures a seamless employee journey—from onboarding and workplace well-being to office operations and HR support. Her role bridges events, operations, and people-first initiatives, making her a cornerstone of Evolving Web’s vibrant team culture.

Originally from Germany, Maya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from NHL Stenden University in the Netherlands. She began her career at AVIAREPS before relocating to Montreal, Canada, where she continues to expand her passion for intercultural connection and organizational excellence. Manas Sharma is a highly skilled software engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in developing and optimizing high-performance software systems. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, Manas is leading key initiatives related to continuous queries in BigQuery, where he is responsible for workload management, fault tolerance, and query execution. His work involves designing and developing efficient algorithms for query reservations, fault tolerance using snapshotting, and improving data export systems.
Before joining Google, Manas worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a founding engineer for Aurora DSQL, where he developed the query processor from scratch, optimized network traffic, and introduced multi-version concurrency control. His expertise also includes working at Oracle Corporation, where he contributed to the DevOps Portal by enhancing code coverage and supporting high availability in cloud-native applications.
Throughout his career, Manas has demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities in the areas of query optimization, database systems, and distributed computing. He has also been involved in building scalable systems and services at companies like Microsoft, Walmart Labs, and Accenture, with experience in using technologies such as Java, C++, Python, Rust, and SQL.
