As a Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace consultant I help customers implement modern workplace solutions based on top of their Microsoft 365 licensing, leveraging products like Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Defender, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Purview. I constantly build solutions which span these products, taking into account Security, Usability and Manageability as main pillars.

Currently I'm also responsible for the delivery of Secure At Work, a product which can automatically provision Microsoft 365 tenants with best practices configuration and once onboarded keeps customers up to date by using regular releases. Each release adds or updates functionality in Microsoft 365 environments based on best practices and lessons learned from implementation feedback. The Secure At Work solution is already running om more than 10K endpoints, making it proven solution and able to cover 80% of business requirements.

With more than 25 years of experience in IT, I managed to get myself Microsoft certified in 1998, eventually becoming a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), en ultimately receiving my first Microsoft MVP award in 2010. Currently I am a proud dual Microsoft MVP for Microsoft Intune and Identity and Access.

In the past I have worked with many products in the Microsoft infrastructure space, like SMS/System Center Configuration Manager, Active Directory, Virtualization (both VMware as Hyper-V), System Center products like SCOM, SCSM, SCVMM, SCDPM among others.

Everyone has their niche in the world where they find the most joy and fulfillment. For me that has become Accessibility. Some of my experience comes from my personal ordeals I have gone through as I have steadily learned more about what makes my brain tick and what makes my joints throw a temper tantrum. My professional experience has helped me along the way because it is where I learned just how diverse the options were for accommodations, treatment, and more.

I was initially thrown into the deep end during my amazing journey with the American Printing House for the Blind's Internal IT department. I gained insight to some of the struggles caused when environments, processes, technology, and attitudes are not accessible. However, I also experienced great joy every time I managed to help make someone's day easier by helping them be more independent and confident in themselves. Since then, I have held many other Accessibility related roles and made it my mission to spread Accessibility awareness. I've done so through by improving Code Louisville's Accessibility policies and coursework as a mentor, speaking at domestic & international events, providing support online, and so much more. Olivier Van Steenlandt is a Business Intelligence Professional who spent most of his early career assisting retail companies to get more value of their data using the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).

As his first experience in the field (in Business Intelligence), Olivier worked as a Big Data Analyst using tools such as Hadoop and Spark.
