Salomon Murciano

Salomon Murciano

Salomon Murciano is a Venezuelan-born professional who has established a steady presence in the global apparel and off-price distribution industry. His work centers on connecting international supply with retail demand through practical, reliable methods. He focuses on ensuring that branded merchandise moves efficiently across markets while maintaining strong relationships with partners. His approach reflects consistency, discipline, and a commitment to building long-term value through careful execution and trust.

Salomon began his path in Caracas, where he developed an early curiosity about trade and the movement of goods. He took initial steps by sourcing inventory from China, gaining firsthand exposure to manufacturing systems and supplier relationships. This experience provided him with a clear understanding of how global sourcing operates in real conditions. Over time, he used this knowledge to create a structured approach that supports scalable growth while remaining grounded in practical experience.

Salomon Murciano recognized an opportunity within the off-price market as he gained more insight into supply chain inefficiencies. He observed that excess inventory from brands often remained underutilized, while retailers continued to look for affordable, branded products. By sourcing closeout merchandise and placing it into established retail channels, he was able to address this imbalance. This shift allowed him to expand his operations steadily while strengthening connections with both suppliers and buyers.

Salomon has developed a reputation as a dependable distributor who values clarity and consistency in his work. He has worked with major off-price retailers, helping them access quality merchandise at competitive prices. His understanding of demand cycles allows him to align supply with market needs effectively. He focuses on meeting client expectations while maintaining strong communication, which has helped him build long-term relationships based on reliability and mutual trust.

Murciano operates across key global regions, including Asia, the United States, and Latin America, managing complex logistics and large-scale inventory movement. He remains actively involved in the operational side of the business, including evaluating inventory opportunities, negotiating deals, and overseeing delivery timelines. This hands-on approach keeps him informed and enables him to respond quickly to changing market conditions, ensuring consistent execution across regions.

Salomon Murciano has also expanded his work into real estate, focusing on low-income multifamily housing where he sees long-term value. He applies the same practical mindset used in his distribution work, identifying opportunities that offer stability and meaningful impact. In addition to his business efforts, he contributes to charitable initiatives, including supporting schools, helping fund tuition for children in need, and donating to food programs serving underserved communities.

Jonathan Pasternak

Jonathan Pasternak

Named the YJP Professional of the Year in 2017 and a Super Lawyer for more than 15 consecutive years, Jonathan Pasternak is a distressed debt and commercial real estate advisor and consultant with more than thirty years of experience in managing complex financial transactions. The YJP honor recognized his long-term contributions to restructuring initiatives, and it was one of several notable accolades he received from peers and professional organizations. His many leadership roles have earned him considerable industry recognition.

His academic record begins at The Pingry School, where he graduated cum laude with the class of 1981. He continued at Brown University as a member of the class of 1985, majoring in American History and Literature. Education has been a significant influence on Jonathan Pasternak's professional and personal life, shaping his later career direction as well as his current commitments. He served as a class representative for both Pingry and Brown, coordinating alumni and class-based initiatives, and he maintains active ties with both communities to this day. His spouse and two of his three children are Brown graduates, and the family's alumni involvement includes ongoing participation and outreach.

He has also shared his knowledge from the podium and in the press. Jonathan has lectured at numerous industry conferences as well as at his former secondary and law schools. Throughout his career, he has been routinely sought for interviews and quotes concerning large-scale restructurings, and he has appeared on radio and television.

Those credentials rest on a 36-year career in restructuring and distressed debt, during which Jonathan Pasternak represented parties across a wide range of industries. His primary area of specialization has been the reorganization and restructuring of private and public companies, with hundreds of individual and corporate clients represented over the years. His expertise covers debtor and creditor representation, workouts, recapitalizations, asset sales, and complex court-supervised proceedings, delivered to business owners, institutional stakeholders, and court-appointed representatives tasked with overseeing financially distressed companies. His skill set centers on corporate reorganization, distressed debt, and commercial real estate, and he has carried a career in stabilization, restructuring, and matters both in and out of court-supervised proceedings.

Beyond court-supervised matters, he has extensive experience in commercial real estate and finance. That work has included distressed property issues, debt restructuring tied to real estate and business asset portfolios, and transaction-driven reorganizations. In every setting, he has applied financial analysis and legal strategy while keeping business objectives and circumstances in focus, through formal proceedings and negotiated resolutions alike. Even after receiving his accolades, he kept his commitment to commercial real estate, distressed debt, and finance-driven restructurings.

For more than 20 years, Jonathan managed his own boutique law firm focused on restructuring and reorganization matters. He directly led the firm's operations while maintaining an active and voluminous caseload, working closely with clients, interested parties, other professionals, and court institutions through reorganizations and court-supervised proceedings. Running a specialized firm for two decades required considerable operational oversight, astuteness in client advisory work, leadership, and matter-level strategy, and the experience strengthened his skills as both a practitioner and an organizational leader in the restructuring field.

Working in either a legal or an advisory capacity, Jonathan Pasternak has established mutually favorable relationships with companies, lenders, investors, fiduciaries, and other professionals. In commercial real estate, distressed debt, and corporate finance, he has often been called on to negotiate between multiple stakeholder groups, conduct detailed financial reviews, and carefully navigate court procedure. His work has focused on financially distressed environments where legal judgment and business evaluation are often intertwined, always with the goal of helping others.

His commitments extend well into his community. For 11 years, he served on the Board of Trustees of Temple Sinai of Bergen County, and as one of the board's longest-serving trustees, he was responsible for oversight of governance, planning, and fiduciary matters. Few individuals have held that position for as long as he has. He contributes to numerous charities and community efforts, including food and clothing drives and educational organizations, and he regularly donates to community initiatives launched by Pingry School, Brown University, and Tenafly, New Jersey, where he resides, aligning his philanthropy with the institutions that have played important roles in his development. Through various not-for-profit institutions, he actively contributes to educational, religious, and charitable initiatives. He has also provided pro bono legal services throughout his career to individuals, small businesses, and local not-for-profit organizations.

Jonathan Pasternak is an accomplished musician and performer, well known among his professional peers, and music remains an active pursuit that adds a creative dimension to his career. He relishes the preparation, timing, and technical control of performing, seeing those disciplines as equally rewarding as the skills he has employed throughout his restructuring career. He is also a well-known archivist and field recorder for live music and concerts, and he has donated significant time to Tenafly and the community by coaching at recreational and travel levels and performing at community events.

Dr. Ankur Bindal

Dr. Ankur Bindal

Dr. Ankur Bindal's career was built in medicine, as a physician trained and certified in both psychiatry and sleep medicine. In 2016 he founded KAB Medical Group, the San Diego and Los Angeles practice known as KMG Psychiatry, and he guided it as CEO and President through 2025. Under his leadership, the practice brought together traditional psychiatric care and brain stimulation therapies. Ankur Bindal is now President and Co-Founder of Aroga Group.

The heart of his clinical work was brain stimulation. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive treatment delivered on an outpatient basis; it applies magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, with the goal of improving symptoms of depression and other conditions. It's generally used for patients whose antidepressant medications haven't brought relief. The brain stimulation practice Dr. Bindal established at KMG Psychiatry reached high volume, and its patients included former NFL players, professionals, fellow physicians and people from around the world. He also extended access to TMS, a costly and innovative therapy, to underserved patients.

He was designated a Diamond Circle Provider, a distinction given to the highest-volume TMS practices. Health Conference 2.0 honored him in 2023 with two awards, the Outstanding Leadership Award and the Outstanding Corporation Award.

TMS was one part of a broader treatment approach. Throughout his time in practice, Dr. Ankur Bindal paired medication management and counseling with newer options, among them TMS and intranasal esketamine (Spravato). Blending the established with the innovative was, for him, a way to pursue the best possible outcomes for patients.

Sleep medicine formed the other major pillar of his expertise. He trained as a fellow in sleep medicine at the University of Michigan's Department of Neurology, and he earned board certification in the field. He was a co-founder, co-owner and Treasurer of Progressive Sleep Center, Inc. Yuma Regional Medical Center is where he served as Executive Medical Director, Adult Psychiatrist and Sleep Specialist. Among his research collaborations were projects examining how obstructive sleep apnea affects intracranial pressure, how CPAP is used in pregnant women with sleep-related breathing disorders, how early-life REM deprivation influences late-onset depression and hippocampal plasticity in rat models, and what role intermittent hypoxia plays in preventing myocardial infarction in dog models.

Government Medical College in Chandigarh, India, awarded him his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2003. At the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, he earned a Master of Public Health with majors in Clinical Research/Biostatistics and Social and Behavioral Sciences. His residencies were in Family Medicine at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Ankur Bindal earned Diplomate certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and he was named both a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Beyond KMG Psychiatry, his clinical roles included Medical Director and Adult Psychiatrist at Aligned Integrated Medical Group, as well as Co-owner and Vice President of Pacific Health System. He sat on the Quality Monitoring Committees of both Community Health Group and Yuma Regional Medical Center and was part of the Vice-Chancellor's Residents Group of Fellows on Health, Engagement, Advocacy and Leadership.

Among his professional honors are the Ed Draper Award for Outstanding Senior Resident, the American Psychiatric Association Diversity Leadership Award, the Psychopharmacological Scholar's Award, and the National Institute of Mental Health/American Academy of Clinical Psychopharmacology Award. The Arizona Psychiatric Society also acknowledged him. He was a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the San Diego Psychiatric Association, and he spent two years on the American Psychiatric Association Member Council of Health Care Systems and Financing.

Dr. Bindal carried his clinical knowledge beyond the clinic as well, speaking and sitting on panels at multiple national and regional conferences. Writing as a Forbes Business Council contributor, he addressed how business leaders can manage seasonal depression, which sleep habits support a restful night, and how to sharpen mental clarity and focus over the course of a workday. Time featured him in a piece on the best advice from sleep doctors. He was also featured in a Fox 5 San Diego segment about local psychiatrists working to remove the stigma of anxiety and depression, and in the You Matter segment on CBS 8 that set mental health myths against effective treatments.

Nearly a decade into his leadership of KMG Psychiatry, Dr. Ankur Bindal made Aroga Group, the Southern California-based company he had co-founded in 2020, the full focus of his time. The companies he oversees there as President and Co-Founder work in residential and commercial real estate investing and holding, development, and management services. Workplace topics also appear in his Forbes Business Council bylines, which cover setting boundaries at work and clearing mental clutter.

From 2022 to 2025, he served on the board of the Department of Consumer Affairs Structural Pest Control Board. He was also a member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce's Health Care Committee; the Chamber featured KAB Medical Group in a member spotlight. San Diego Business Journal named him to its 2025 list of the Top 50 Most Influential Health Care Leaders. San Diego Magazine featured him in Faces of San Diego 2023 and later named him one of its Top 50 People to Watch in 2026.

Ankur Bindal's philanthropic support has gone to local schools, military affiliates, the YMCA, the Red Cross and professional health organizations. When he isn't working, he likes spending time with his wife, daughter and dog.

His work in real estate and property management required careful attention and clear communication. He gained experience managing residential properties in one of the largest markets in the country, balancing daily responsibilities with long-term oversight. In addition, he spent 25 years working with the 32BJ union, demonstrating his ability to operate within structured environments where trust and accountability are essential. Despite changes in the real estate landscape and the demands of city living, he maintained a steady and practical approach.

Outside of work, Michael Gut, NY, values a simple, balanced lifestyle. He enjoys working out at his local gym and staying active. Family plays a central role in his life, especially as a grandfather to five grandchildren. He values time spent together through gatherings, holidays, and everyday moments. He also enjoys traveling, often visiting Florida to relax and enjoy a slower pace while spending time with loved ones.

Faith has remained a guiding part of his life. As a devout Catholic, Michael Gut in NYC has remained committed to his beliefs and reflects them in his daily actions. He has also supported charitable causes that align with his values, consistently making an effort to give back.

Larry Weltman

Larry Weltman

Larry Weltman is a Toronto-based professional whose career brings together an accounting background and long experience in the real estate commission advance sector. He was educated as an accountant, and his approach to his work has drawn on that training throughout. His career extends across several decades, during which he was involved in the development of the commission advance industry in Canada.

Weltman is best known for helping to establish the real estate commission advance industry in Canada. In a commission advance, a real estate agent is able to access commissions that have already been earned before the related transaction closes. As agents are generally paid only when a transaction is completed, and completion may follow a sale by weeks or months, the arrangement is intended to relieve a recurring cash-flow challenge in the profession. Consistent access to earned income enables an agent to plan around the everyday costs of operating a business.

He entered this field in 2007, when the model remained new to the Canadian market. In the years that followed, he was directly involved in writing what became the industry standard for how commission advances are structured and delivered. He regards this as the most significant accomplishment of his career, and he values it for the way it helped define how a category of service operates rather than for any title or award.

Weltman's strengths are concentrated where accounting, operations, and the real estate sales process come together. He holds a detailed and practical knowledge of how property transactions are structured, how closings are carried out, and what agents and clients need at each stage of a sale. That knowledge was formed through direct work in the business over many years rather than through study. Understanding of this kind is difficult to acquire other than through direct participation over time.
It extends to the mechanics of transactions, the timing and order of closings, the conditions agents deal with day to day, and the customer-service and technology infrastructure required to support them. Weltman developed this knowledge firsthand during his years inside the industry. In concrete terms, this includes how a transaction moves from an agreed sale to a completed closing, together with the steps that occur between the two and the moments at which agents most commonly require support.

Weltman's experience reaches beyond the subject matter itself to the operation of a service business. His work has covered customer service, technology, the setting of goals, the maintenance of high standards of client care, and the need to ensure that daily execution corresponds to the commitments given to customers. His accounting background supports this work and sustains attention to the financial discipline that keeps a business healthy over the long term. A substantial part of this work involves consistency, ensuring that the standard of service does not change from one client or period to the next. It also relies on clearly defined goals and on technology matched to the requirements of the business and its clients.

Having spent many years in the industry, Weltman now works in a more selective capacity than before. He concentrates on customer support, retention, and business development, and he continues to rely on operational knowledge gathered over several decades. His involvement is less intensive than it was in earlier years. This reflects a transition from building and operating a business to a stewardship role, in which he applies his experience where it is of most use while making room for other interests. In this role he offers continuity, drawing on knowledge built over many years rather than overseeing daily operations.

Weltman has supported a range of charitable causes throughout his career. He generally gives quietly, without seeking recognition, and directs his support to causes where he sees genuine need. This is consistent with a settled preference for substance over visibility.

In his own time, Weltman follows a consistent and demanding fitness routine that he treats as a serious pursuit. He is a committed golfer, a close follower of soccer, and a supporter of Liverpool Football Club of many years. These have been consistent features of his life away from work for many years.

Weltman's main areas of expertise are:

Accounting and financial management

The real estate sales and transaction process

Commission advance structures and industry standards

Service business management and operations

Customer service and business technology

Larry Weltman's career is characterized by expertise developed gradually over time rather than by a single prominent event. He has brought consistent knowledge and a dependable approach to his work over the years, and he continues to do so. That body of experience has been accumulated through steady, everyday work rather than through single notable events. He can be reached via his LinkedIn profile.

Matt Morrow is the Chief Technology Officer at Rockhaven Homes, a homebuilder in metro Atlanta, where he started as a data scientist and full-stack developer. Most of his day-to-day work now focuses on leading his team to empower the entire organization to write code, not just the developers, and on designing the platform, guardrails, and AI agents that make that safe to run.

He didn't get here in a straight line. Before tech, he worked in nonprofits and ministry, brewed at a lager-focused brewery, and then opened and ran his own bar, which is where he first wrote code to fix a real operational headache. After that came software sales, freelance work, and Angular development at a startup, and eventually technology leadership at Rockhaven. He calls it a spin-off of a spin-off.
