I am a distinguished data science leader. I currently serve as Senior Director at Axtria Inc., where I lead the company’s decision science business across the Midwest and West Coast. I manage a five million dollar portfolio and guide a team of high performing data scientists who build advanced analytics and AI solutions for global biopharmaceutical clients. My work focuses on transforming commercial decision making, improving patient outcomes, and institutionalizing data driven strategies across large enterprises.

At Axtria, I have led several pioneering analytics initiatives. I developed a patient journey map for a cardiomyopathy therapy by analyzing more than fifty thousand EMR and claims records. This work uncovered diagnostic delays, identified adherence gaps, and enabled targeted interventions that improved therapy initiation by fifteen percent and adherence by twenty percent. For a leading HIV drug, I designed and implemented advanced multi touch attribution models that quantified the influence of interactions across HCPs, pharmacies, and digital channels, enabling more precise promotional decision making. I also built a comprehensive omnichannel orchestration strategy for a cancer drug, aligning marketing, medical, and compliance functions to deliver synchronized and compliant outreach. In addition, my work in econometric modeling for a CNS drug delivered a ten percent uplift in total sales through optimized budget allocation and a clear understanding of channel effectiveness.

My thought leadership has been featured at leading international conferences. I have delivered keynote addresses at the IEEE International Conference on Communication, Computer Sciences and Engineering and have been invited to speak at the IEEE International Conference on Contemporary Computing and Communications. My talk titled Leveraging Data Science for Transformative Healthcare Outcomes received significant engagement for its practical approach to integrating predictive analytics into healthcare ecosystem design. I have also contributed multiple scholarly works to international journals and IEEE venues, including Leveraging Statistical Programming for Adaptive Clinical Trial Designs at ICCSCM, Innovations in Multi Touch Attribution Models at the IEEE ESCI Conference, and Revolutionizing Customer Experience Through NLP and Sentiment Analysis Strategies at the IEEE CICTN Conference.

Across my career, I have been driven by a consistent mission to unlock measurable value through data. I have mentored and developed high performing analytics teams, scaled global capabilities, and advised senior leaders across healthcare, life sciences, insurance, retail, and manufacturing. My work stands at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and technology, ensuring that organizations can translate complex data into decisions that elevate outcomes for patients, customers, and businesses.

I have a proven track record of building, scaling, and elevating high-performing analytics and data science teams across multiple geographies. Throughout my leadership roles at Axtria, TheMathCompany, and Mu Sigma, I have hired and developed dozens of data scientists, analysts, and decision science professionals—creating strong talent pipelines, capability-building frameworks, and onboarding programs that accelerate both readiness and long-term success. I am deeply committed to coaching and mentoring, providing structured career development, real-time feedback, and hands-on guidance that helps my teams grow into strategic, client-facing leaders. My leadership style blends technical depth with people-focused mentorship, enabling me to build teams known for analytical rigor, commercial impact, and exceptional professional growth.

I continue to anchor my work in innovation, academic rigor, and a commitment to improving healthcare systems through the power of data science and artificial intelligence. My journey reflects a belief that the right analytical models, when combined with the right strategic intent, can meaningfully improve lives at scale.

Michael Turner

Michael Turner

Michael Turner is a social entrepreneur, trauma-informed systems builder, and open-access health advocate operating between Austin, Texas and Mexico City, Mexico. He is the founder of the Phoenix Ranch Foundation and the creator of Ibogaine Wiki — two distinct initiatives unified by a single operating thesis: that unprocessed trauma is the root cause underlying juvenile incarceration, veteran PTSD, chronic homelessness, and addiction, and that building the right environments and expanding access to the right tools can interrupt those cycles at their source.

The Founding Story

Turner's entry into systems reform is not academic. At fourteen, he was incarcerated in the juvenile justice system — spending the years that should have been his high school inside a facility designed for punishment rather than rehabilitation. That experience produced approximately 30,000 hours of subsequent research across four decades, and it produced the Phoenix Ranch Foundation.

The Foundation's thesis is straightforward: ranch-based, trauma-informed environments work. Animal husbandry, sustainable farming, trade skill development, and Montessori-style education — methods with a documented global track record of reducing recidivism — outperform conventional incarceration and treatment programs across every meaningful outcome metric. Turner's goal is to build 1,000-plus-acre recovery ranches in all fifty states, replacing youth prisons and failed treatment infrastructure with environments where healing can actually compound over time.

The Foundation serves four overlapping populations: off-course youth, combat veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those in recovery from addiction. Turner identified these populations as sharing a common underlying condition — not a shared demographic or a shared life circumstance, but a shared neurological and psychological wound. Build the right container for that wound, he concluded, and the outcomes follow.

Ibogaine Wiki

Turner's second major initiative operates in a different but adjacent space. As the creator of Ibogaine Wiki, he has built the most comprehensive open-access platform on ibogaine therapy currently available — with a deliberately narrow user focus. The platform is built for combat veterans with treatment-resistant PTSD, professional athletes managing the neurological aftermath of repeated concussive trauma, and individuals living with traumatic brain injuries who have exhausted conventional treatment options.

The strategic logic mirrors the Foundation's: identify the populations most underserved by existing systems, build infrastructure that addresses the gap, and make access as frictionless as possible. In this case, that means open-access information, credible sourcing, and active advocacy for safe and legal ibogaine treatment — particularly through clinics operating in Mexico, where Turner maintains a base of operations and where ibogaine therapy is legally permitted.
Operator Profile
Turner is a practitioner-founder with four decades of domain depth and a track record of building mission-critical infrastructure in underserved spaces. His work sits at the convergence of criminal justice reform, veteran services, behavioral health, and psychedelic medicine policy — sectors where the opportunity for systems-level impact is significant and where founder-led, community-rooted organizations consistently outperform top-down institutional approaches.

He is based between Austin, Texas and Mexico City, Mexico, and is actively engaged in expanding the Phoenix Ranch Foundation's operational footprint and the reach of Ibogaine Wiki across North America.

I'm a Generative AI & ML Engineer based in Austin, TX — and I genuinely believe we're living through the most exciting moment in the history of computing. I've spent the last 8+ years turning that belief into production systems that actually move needles.
Right now, I work as a **Senior AI Engineer at [Twin Health](https://www.twinhealth.com/)**, where I architect multi-agent AI platforms for personalized digital health. The work hits close to home in the most literal sense: the AI systems I build — ones that ingest real-time wearable data, interpret lab results, and deliver hyper-personalized diet and nutrition guidance — have contributed to a **37% Type 2 diabetes reversal rate** across our patient population. That's not a dashboard metric. That's people reclaiming their health.
Before Twin Health, I spent over a year at **Cigna Health** building Generative AI into the Prior Authorization process — a notoriously slow, paper-heavy corner of healthcare that desperately needed agentic intelligence. And before that, I spent two years at **Walmart Global Tech**, where I built a voice/text-driven AI tool that saved **130,000 associate work hours every single week**, and a RAG-based system that cut attribute-extraction costs by **80%** with **24× faster turnaround**. Large-scale impact is something I've come to expect from this work.

My path here wasn't strictly linear. I started as an Electrical Engineering undergraduate at **IIT Roorkee**, pivoted into data science at **Indiana University – Bloomington** (where I earned a Master's and the Luddy Outstanding Research Award), and along the way published research at **NeurIPS** (Best Paper) and **ACM COMPASS**. More recently, I completed an **MBA in Entrepreneurship** from University of the Cumberlands — because building great AI isn't just an engineering challenge, it's a product and people challenge too.

I'm a Senior Software Architect working on agentic AI systems in healthcare diagnostics. Most of my time is spent figuring out how to make large language models play nice with enterprise security requirements—especially when those models need to access patient data across chat, voice, and SMS channels.

Before diving into AI, I built developer experience tools and led engineering teams where I learned that the hard problems are rarely about the technology itself. They're about making complex systems work reliably when real people depend on them.

I've been deep in the Model Context Protocol (MCP) world lately, building servers that let AI agents interact securely with backend systems. Edy Hourany is a senior software engineer at Doctolib with a PhD in software engineering 🎓, but don’t let that fool you. He's a dog psychologist 🐕 and a paramedic 🚑 on the side! When he’s not writing code or helping dogs work through their issues, you’ll probably find him zipping through the sky as an FPV drone pilot 🛸.

Edy has had the chance to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams from all over the world 🌍, and he loves bringing people together to solve tough problems. Whether it’s debugging software or calming a reactive pup 🐶, he’s always ready for the next challenge (preferably one that involves both!).
