Before I did this job, I never knew there was a way to clear trauma and move past emotional blocks without talking about the past, like in traditional talk therapy.

Having lived through an abusive childhood, brain surgery that left me visually impaired, death of family members, and fertility issues, I was in an extremely dark place that I felt there was no escape. I used to dread each day, and struggled to cope with my job.

Dr. Rajesh Bindal is a neurosurgeon in Sugar Land, Texas, renowned for establishing the area's first dedicated neurosurgical practice. Dr. Stanley Liu is the Chair and Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at NSU. He directs the NSU Health Breathe & Sleep Wellness Center. Previously, he was the Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he directed the sleep surgery fellowship. Dr. Liu completed dental and medical schools at U.C.S.F., during which he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) medical scholar. He also completed OMFS residency at UCSF, followed by sleep surgery fellowship at Stanford. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Liu’s practice and research focus on upper airway surgery for sleep-disordered breathing (SDB).
